These are very yummy but were really a pain to make! I added an extra cup of sugar and doubled the vanilla. I refrigerated my dough over night, but when I went to use it the following day it was very sticky - impossible to roll out (possibly due to humidity in the south?). I tried using flour and confectioners sugar on my rolling pin but with no success. I ended up having to roll balls of dough in my hands and flatten them with the bottom of a flat cup dipped in flour. Then I did one cookie cutter at a time having to re-do dough each time. I also did everything on parchment paper, so cookies slid right off after cooking. This was very time consuming, but turned out really great. Also, the dough got stickier the longer it sat out. I would definitely make these again, but not in shapes that are hard to ice (like stars)!
