Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
These are the best Russian Teacakes I have ever made. I have been making this recipe for many years. My secrets for this recipe are as follows: Chop nuts to almost flour consistency, measure after chopping. Roll to 1 or 1.5 inch balls. Bake only until they get small cracks, don't let them turn brown. Let sit on baking sheet 10-15 minutes (if you try to remove them from the baking sheets too soon they will disintegrate), then place 6-8 at a time in a gallon ziplock with a couple cups of powdered sugar while they are still warm, but not hot. Seal and roll gently till cookies are totally covered. Remove with spider and place on cooling racks or tinfoil until totally cool. By rolling them when still warm, they will not need re-sugared later.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This recipe was wonderful and got great reviews from my family. It did take an extra twenty minutes to cook, but I had it in a bowl since I didn't have a 9 x 9 pan.

Perfectly Simple Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
This turned out wonderful tasting. The only problem I had was getting the center done. I let it cook an extra 20 minutes, and yes, the oven had been preheated, but it still wasn't set. I added the last layer and baked that until it was set, but the center of the pan did not ever fully set.... The taste was extraordinary though. I would make it again.

i found this cake to be lacking in the topping dept. I agree that the search is still on in the St. Louis gooey butter cake dept... The flavor in the topping just wasn't there.

Swedish Meatballs II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2006
This was the first time I had attempted to make swedish meatballs, and they turned out wonderful!! I got rave reviews from my family,(who are all cooks or chefs)....I really liked the addition of tomatoe sauce to the white sauce, it added a nice hint of color and another complete depth to the flavor without being obvious.
