Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
Great recipe. Made as written besides doubling it for a 9X13 and extending oven time. Perfectly chewy brownies just like a supermarket mix. Held together well in squares. Just as delicious next day. Will make again. New favorite brownie mix.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
Was just okay. Too dry. And the topping was alright, but like others have said way too much. Just keep it in the freezer for another time.

Waffle Cookies II

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
Good rich cookie, nice and chocolatey. Kids loved them. I used a cookie/ice cream scoop and got about 30 cookies. I found that the easiest way to get them off the iron is to stick a fork right across the iron heating squares straight through the middle of the cookie and lift up. My iron needed two minutes a batch.

Spiced Applesauce Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
Really good. I didn't use pecans but could have, a crunch would be tasty too. I think the spices taste good, but could be upped if you really want a 'spiced' bread. I made three loaves, and froze two. Still tastes divine thawed from the freezer.

Sweet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
Very nice recipe. Have searched through quite a few cornbread recipes and haven't found one that wow'ed me yet. I do like this one. --I didn't have sour cream so I used kefir (milky yogurt) in its place and it was still very smooth and flavorful. My family didn't think it needed extra sugar as we didn't want corn cake and we like to put honey on top. Will make this recipe again.

Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
Fantastic taste. Wonderful on pitas with chicken. I used fresh from garden cucumbers and homemade yogurt. You do need to strain the yogurt 'til thick though.

Best Lemonade Ever

Very good. On the sweeter side which I liked more than some sour lemonades.

Mimi's Giant Whole-Wheat Banana-Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
Very good. For the true giant muffins I needed more time in the oven, possibly needs a touch more flour. But taste was very good. Just threw a handfull of freeze dried strawberries in. Next time will chop the strawberries finer instead of slices.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
New go-to recipe for Snickerdoodles. Made as directed. Softened butter completely on countertop, eggs direct from fridge, most likely old baking soda. Still amazing. Doubled the batch and froze half in balls covered in cinsugar. Let come to room temp and baked 8 mins. Still perfect. Fantastic Snickerdoodles. Thank you.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Very good. Seems I did my best to mess up this recipe and it still turned out beautifully. When I put the chips into the butter mix it started to overcook and harden but just went with it not wanting to throw my chips out. Put the eggs in and just wisked like crazy. Then I used a gluten free flour and cooked like stated. Was wonderful. I love these. It has probably turned into my go-to recipe for brownies.

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
Very good. Added a little brown sugar and increased the cooking temp. Maybe didn't need brown sugar or less of white because they were really sweet, but cupcake good sweet. Will make again.

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
Cake crumbled. I agree with others that taste is cornbreadish. Edges got to cooked and crispy like a cookie. Inside cake was airy and fluffy texture. Cake didn't come out of pan and is a crumbled mess. Won't try again.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
Very liquidy and never set up for me even after leaving the pan in the oven longer. Top ended up starting to burn when I finally pulled it out and it still was like batter under the crust. Won't make again. Not a good recipe if everyone has to make so many modifications to the original to make it work.

Baked Omelet Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
Very nice recipe. Is good enough to serve guests and quick to make. Able to use what you have on hand and have some give to the recipe. I didn't use jalapenos and maybe I should have, mine seemed a little bland. Just brought spices and hot sauce to table and was fine.

Belgian Waffles

Meh. Kind of mushy, not vey crisp. Perhaps a great belgian waffle, but not something I liked. Flavor was good, but comparable to any other recipe that uses vanilla extract. Texture wasn't great at all.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Very good! Used chicken broth instead of the beer and it turned out wonderful. Have made this twice now and will make it for company. First time I made it my brother ate two bowls worth knowing that he was going to get dinner with his friends not too long after that.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Meh. I won't be using this recipe again. It wasn't soup for me like some have said, but it was very liquidy and spread out after a slice had been cut. Still ate it like pudding but then it seemed to leave a gritty feel in my mouth.

Was very tasty even to non GF people. Cake fell apart it was so moist, but served it in bowls with whip cream and it was great anyway.
