Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
This is so good! I don't use the green bell pepper and instead of vidalia onion, I used red onion. I have also marinated chicken breasts in lime juice and garlic and made a chicken salad with it. NEVER any leftovers!

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
This was delish!! I didn't have the chocolate, broth or vinegar and I used equal amounts of tomato sauce to crushed tomato. On recommendation from a friend, I also added garlic powder, celery salt and marjoram in addition to the spices that the recipe called for. This is definately a keeper!

Cobb Salad

Reviewed: May 26, 2007
This was an excellant, very filling salad. My husband is not a big fan of chicken OR salad (as a main dish) but he loved it. Didn't alter anything- perfect as is.

Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
I'm not sure that I used the right kind of chili sauce. I used the canned chili sauce for hot dogs. Didn't really taste like sweet and sour so I'm sure I was wrong. Still tasted pretty good though. Everybody got seconds...

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
5 stars are NOT enough!!!! I do not usually care for salisbury steak but my family likes it. For once I actually loved it, too!!! This was great. The only change I made was I added some jarred, sliced mushrooms towards the end of cooking. DELICIOUS

Amber's Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
This was so good!!!! The only difference I made was that I made 4x the sauce (honey + terriyaki) at the advice of a friend, and I am glad that I did. Everyone loved it!!

Tiramisu Toffee Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
This was pretty good. I think the pound cake got too wet by the coffee, but maybe that's the way tiramisu is supposed to be. I made it for a banquet at my daughter's school and came home with an empty dish so it must've made a good impression on everyone else!!!

Chili Dog Casserole II

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
If I could give more stars, I would!!! Usually hot dogs are a dreaded dinner at our house by one of my daughters. But she loved this!!!! It's nice to have a dish that is still affordable, still easy and loved by the family. It gives hot dogs a nice change. We added fresh onions on top of ours. Great!!!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
This was very good!!! The sauce was excellant. I cooked strictly by the recipe and then ate the leftovers for lunch the next day as an open faced sandwich (like another reader suggested).

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
Great recipe. I cooked it just as recipe called and I loved the flavor. The mushrooms took on the flavor of the vinegar and were delicious. I might add more mushrooms next time since they were so good. I served this on a bed of rice with a salad on the side.

Kitty Litter Cake

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
Made this cake for my husband's birthday. Too bad I can't download the picture that showed his reaction to the cake!!! It tasted great, too. I was very careful not to add too much pudding since I had read that it can get too soggy. VERY REALISTIC!!!
