About this Cook
I'm a university student that loves to cook and bake! Grocery shopping is the highlight of my week and I tend to spend way too much money when it comes to preparing meals! Entertaining friends is a great way to prepare bigger meals because it's much easier than cooking for one!
My favorite things to cook
I love everything pasta and chocolate! My favorite things to cook change all the time, because I hardly ever make the same things twice. It's too much fun to experiment!
My cooking triumphs
I've recently dived into my Nana's cookbook and made homemade perogies and roast chicken. That's always something I've left other people to do! But it tastes much better when you've spent the time and attention doing it yourself! I've also been a camp cook for a fly-in outfitting business, and have gotten compliments on my campfire abilities! They said they've never gone home from their trips fatter than they've left until then!
My cooking tragedies
We just won't get into details....

Banana Cookies
Definitely not a normal cookie if that's what you're looking for. It's more of a cake like texture - I even put some batter into muffin tins and made muffins with it. It could seriously use some spices like cinnamon or nutmeg. It's too bland.

Butterscotch Buns
This is absolutely amazing and so easy! It's almost sinful to get such great tasting buns without the added effort of yeast and rising time. Instead of walnuts, I used Skor toffee bits and added a simple glaze to the top when still warm. We couldn't keep our hands off of them. Whoever made these before and said they were a globby mess probably didn't bake them long enough or they prefer the hard rolls. These are definitely the gooiest! Wonderful!!

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight
This is amazing! And judging by the ingredients, anyone that does not have a sweet tooth should not even try it! It's very rich but I couldn't stay out of it! It was super easy to assemble. To make sure the caramel sauce doesn't stick to the sides, pour it away from the sides of the pan. It will eventually spread all over. I didn't have any pecans around, but it tasted great without that addition. I even didn't have any oats, so I ended up using a package of instant oatmeal! This dessert is very versatile to suit your tastes! Maybe I'll try chocolate sauce next time!!
