Veggie Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
Excellent!! I thought this was such a great and fresh tasting appetizer. I did change a couple things, but not much. I used a couple of tablespoons of mayo instead of the sour cream. I used a little garlic powder not salt. I also only used half the package of ranch dressing because its so strong and I found half was perfect. I didn't use celery or radishes but used different colored bell peppers. Instead of the crescent rolls, I used a flatbread which I find just easier. I guess I changed a little more than I thought. However, the overall taste was great. Lots of compliments.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2008
Outstanding. This is the best roasted chicken recipe I have ever made, and I have made quite a few. Super moist and perfectly flavored. I made only one chicken for my family of 5 and it was perfect. Save the drippings for gravy. Excellent!!!

White Sauce

Like said in an earlier review, this is a great base with endless possibilities. I added a garlic clove to the butter and then some sharp white cheddar at the end to melt through. Awesome over steamed veggies.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
Very Good! I did change a couple of things. I used 3 medium heads of broccoli and still had tons of dressing, too much in my opinion. I used craisins instead of raisins. Very tasty though. I liked the white wine vinegar in there instead of plain vinegar.

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
Best bran muffin recipe by far! I doubled it and used my own sour milk, and kept the sugar to 1 cup. Added a bit extra vanilla and 1 tsp. of cinnamon and 2 tbsp. of ground flax seed. They came out nice and moist. I'll be making these often, what a great way to sneak some good stuff into picky eaters!

Asian Coconut Rice

Loved this. Was perfectly flavored. I served it with a lighter version of Indian Butter Chicken and it went awesome together. I used light coconut milk and added some chopped cilantro just before serving. So yummy!!!

Carrot Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2008
Love this recipe. I followed some other suggestions. Cut both sugars to 1/2 cup each. Changed the oil to 1/4 cup and added 3/4 cup applesauce. Also, I added a tsp. of apple pie spice which was an excellent addition. I skipped the cream cheese center idea. These are so yummy you could make a cream cheese icing instead and serve them as a dessert. Thanks for a superb recipe.

Heavenly Halibut

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
Excellent! Flavor was just what I was looking for and that fact you can use it on any white fish is great. The only thing I did different was bake my fish first at 375* for about 20 minutes and then I broiled it for a couple minutes to brown. My only complaint, the topping ran everywhere once I put it on the fish because it was so hot already so the browning didn't really happen and I ended up with just a bunch of sauce in the bottom of the pan instead of on the fish. Next time I will use less butter, I think 1/2 cup is too much. But flavor wise this was excellent!
