Brazilian Lemonade

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
I probably shouldn't have made this given that I hate sour…well anything, but I was intrigued. I don’t know if I did something wrong (I did use a hand blender) but I didn't care for this. Much too twangy!

Passion Bars

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
I cooked these because I needed to use up a can of condensed milk. They turned out okay...not may favorite bar cookie ever I have to admit. Maybe it's because I got distracted with a casserole I was making and left them in too long, but they weren't that good.

Baklava

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
This was sooo good. A LOT of work but well worth it! You definitely have to make the sauce plus half, which made it PERFECT. Also, make the sauce before anything so it can have time to cool. This way, when you pour it on the baklava it won’t be so soggy. The honey taste was a little too strong for me though. I used a silicone brush to put the butter on but if/when I make this again I will undoubtedly use a spray bottle, it would have made it ten times easier to make.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
This was terrific AND easy! I love the kick the real lime added to it. However, it was kind of dry, but I have a feeling I cooked the chicken a little too long. But had I not made this mistake, it would have been remarkable!

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
Really good! A little too much work for me because I'm lazy but still, the end result is worth it. I think this would be the perfect party take-along.

Million Dollar Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
I didn't have any yellow cake mix on hand, so I used white instead. I thought the 4 eggs and cup of oil was too much, so I ignored that and went with the back of the cake box. But instead of putting water in it, I put the oranges and added water until it was "cake batter" consistency. I agree with others that you can't even tell the cake has the oranges in it. Also, use a 9x13 pan like it tells you, because if you use 2 circle pans, the top layer tends to just fall off the cool whip icing. Although, I think I would make this again because it tasted really good in the end.

Sauceless Garden Lasagna

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
Personally I loved it but the rest of the family frowned at the vegetables and wouldn't even try it! Even good leftovers a day later
