Mustard Greens 'n Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
Ok, I would have given this a 4 1/2 but ...obviously I couldn't. This was my absolute FIRST time eating much less MAKING mustard green. Never had em, never ate em. I had TONS growing in the garden(tried something new) I really liked this. Didn't have nutmeg so I was nervous about the bitterness, but it wasn't at all. Did it exactly as directed except 2 things- used apple cider vinegar and I used double the amount of garlic SCAPES rather than cloves...its what I had. DELISH. Other reviewers say that its better the next day- can't wait to try!

Mini Meatloaves

Pretty good. Family loved it. I didnt have oats and so I used bread crumbs. Because of this, I did not use the milk. Though, I will next time use 1/2 the amount listed in the recipe. Big hit with the fam and will use this one again.

Different Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
YUM! I LOVED THIS! The only things is that I would change 1 thing. It needs more liquid. it was a bit dry for my taste. I would add about 1/2 c. milk next time. I did use frozen broccoli- stired it in the pasta and water just before i drained it. Also, didnt have the fried onions- so i used croutons-bread crumbs, garlic, salt and a touch of melted butter tossed together, then put on top. YUM! The fam LOVED IT!

Homemade Marshmallows I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
My mom first found this recipe on Martha Stewart's website- she had made them on a show. She makes them all of the time and now I am addicted. I love these things! When they are cooled, pull em out of the pan, cut them into desired size- I do about an inch...toss them with powdered sugar...Once you make homemade- you will never want to buy them again! YUM!

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
These were just GREAT! My 7 year old son and I made these last week. They were a HUGE hit. I shaped the centers into balls, flattened them just a bit and threw them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Then I took 1 T of chocolate dough and divided it in half. I rolled each half into a ball, flattened them, sandwiched the 2 chocolate dough discs with the peanut butter in the center and sealed the edges. I hope this makes sense because by the time I had made about 5 cookies, I already could do them quickly. Like I said, even my son could do them! They were soooo yummy! Way easier then you think it is going to be.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
These were GREAT! YUM! I followed the recipe exactly with one exception- I followed the suggestion of a previous reviewer- I used a whole egg instead of a white (i halved the recipe) Also- I coated the burgers with a light coating of flour. I know it sounds strange- but it worked PERFECTLY! What a great suggestion! I always had problems with turkey burgers in the past! That is why I rarely make them- but this time it worked like a charm! I also coated the grill grates with pan spray and- Hey- Did I mention that that these were PERFECT? Thanks! YUM.

Sara's Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2010
This is soooo good! I made it pretty similar t the recipe- with just a couple simplifications. I brewed coffee- extra strong. While the coffee was hot I stirred in the vanilla and sugar and then put it in the fridge. Ater it cools, I just put in 1/2 glass of coffee with some ice cubes and about 1/2 c. skim milk. PERFECT. I will make one change next batch, a bit less sugar. I like my coffee sweet- but only slightly- this is sweetier than my taste allows. Still I just LOVE this. It will be a staple in my fridge for the summer.

Strawberry Delight Dessert Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
We thought this was great! I had to make a few adjustments, based on what I had on hand. I used 1 can of drained pineapple and 2 cans of drained mandarin oranges. I also used SF Cranberry Jell-o. I didn't have the time to let it sit overnight, as recommended, before I had to serve it....but the reviewers are right...it is good the first day, but MUCH fluffier the 2nd. My husband LOVED it and it tasted just great!

I added the extra chicken broth as suggested and I'm serious...Scoop it into your bowl and squeeze a lime wedge on top with a dalop of sour cream- THE LIME MAKES IT! YUM! My whole family loves it. I served it with cornbread as suggested by other reviewers and it was a perfect meal! Definately a keeper!
