Terribly incredibly yummy!! Twisted sandwich I really dig. Even my mom wolfed down mine after had one-bit of it, made me have to whip-up another. Will try to lay on smoked chicked next time. The idea seems delish!

Autumn Cheesecake

It tastes DIVINE! I made this for my boyfriend surprise birthday party and took it to campus. I got raving reviews from all my friends and they literally couldn't stay away from the cake box wolfing down every crumb of the cake, which made me had to put the activity to a halt because I wanted to bring back some pieces for bf's mom and granny. I doubled the recipe and used a 24-cm springform pan, but apparently the crust needs more butter to hold the cracker crumbs stronger. I baked it for 70 minutes in water-bath and cooled it down in the oven for 1 hour. I used Granny Smith, the tartness scales down the sweetness from sugar. Since it's pretty hard for me to find pecans here, I subbed it with cashews. I forgot to throw-in the nut in the topping but I made a streusel topping NOELC suggested in this recipe which brings the whole taste of cheesecake to another level! Thanks Stephanie for making my bf's surprise birthday a blast with the cake!! I owe you big time!

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich

My boyfriend detests tomatoes, but he LOVES this tomato sandwich! He was reluctant at first, knowing that I was trying to stuff him with tomatoes, but I did force him to try, and was he surprised! I brushed the breads before toasting them with the leftover dressing from the "Portobello Sandwich" recipe from this website. He liked the sandwich so much he kept asking for second bites (he was driving). Though he tried to reason with me that the this would tastes better with meat and how he disapproved the tangy taste of the tomato slices, I knew from his eyes he was lying! He just couldn't cope with the fact that he eventually likes tomatoes!

Portobello Sandwiches

SUPERB! My boyfriend is very picky with food, especially with westerns, since we are Indonesians, and he digs super savory and herby foods, while I can tolerate nearly all kinds of International flavor. I followed the recipe as it is. The only tweaking I did was that I brushed the buns with the dressing before toasting them. I was very surprised and contented that this actually met his taste! He also hates vast kinds of veggies and didn't complained at all for those I stuffed in this sandwich, even complimented me on this. If only he knew! Oh, not to forget every "Mmmmm. This is super delish!" on every bite he took! I'll try on the cheese and grilled onion suggestion next time I have this, and it'll be super soon.

Maple Hot Chocolate

Best, Tastiest Hot Chocolate ever! Even tops the Swiss Miss' Chocolate Mix. I got interested into trying this recipe because my boyfriend really goes ga-ga over maple syrup. And he went ga-ga over this! I, too, took the others' advice to use maple syrup. I didn't have any marshmallows on hand, so I mixed in 3/4 pack of gelatine and added 2 tbsp. of sugar and 1.5 tbsp of maple syrup, plus I tossed in another 1/2 tbsp of cocoa powder, because it tasted a bit bland without the marshmallows. I also used margarine instead of butter. It tasted super!
