My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
This was so yummy I couldn't stop eating it last night! The only change I made was to use maple syrup instead of corn syrup since I didn't have any. It turned out spectacular! This will definitely be a recipe I will make over and over again!

Crispy Coconut Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
I thought these were pretty good. I really wish they were a bit crispier though. I made this with the pina colada sauce that Red Lobster makes and it wasn't too bad. My husband , on the other hand, wasn't too fond of them. He knew they were made with coconut and doesn't really like coconut. I would probably make this again but not too often.

Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
I guess these were o.k. To me they tasted like chocolate chip cookies. I did cook them more than the 20 minutes (I think I cooked them for 25) as some suggested. I just didn't see the WOW factor in these. Maybe if they were made with peanut butter chips it would have been more interesting. I'm not sure if I'll make these again.

Enhanced Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
Although I wasn't that fond of this recipe, I give it 5 stars because my husband loved it. He told me that it was almost as good as his moms which is a HUGE compliment because he is critical of almost everything I make. This is the first time he really liked what I made. To me, though, it had an odd taste to it. I can see how some would like it though.

Cheese Lovers' Lasagna

Reviewed: May 27, 2006
I first want to say that I don't believe there was enough sauce or cheese for this recipe. If I were to make this again, I would buy more sauce and cheese. There was also way too much noodles. I threw away half of them because they couldn't be used. A half a box would have been fine. With that being said, I think this was way too dry. I think not having enough sauce made it that way. I also added meat to my sauce which good thing I did or I really would have hated it. I think next time around, I'll find a different lasagna recipe.

Crispy Rice Candy

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
This isn't bad, but I wouldn't rave about it like a lot of people have. I followed all the directions except I used cashews instead of peanuts. To me this is WAY too sweet. I made this for a snack for me and my son but I think a lot of it will go to waste seeing you can only eat a small amount at a time. This might be a good thing to make for a party, but not for a small family at home. I can't decide if I'll make this again but if I do I will cut the recipe in half.

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
This was pretty good. I wanted to try to make my own Mac and Cheese since my husband had his own recipe. I definitely liked mine more. I used sharp cheddar as some suggested. I also used a little more Velveeta than suggested. I don't know if that was a good thing or not because it came out very thick. I also see where people were saying it comes out gritty as mine did too but I didn't mind too much nor did my family. I will definitely make this one again sometime.

Puff Balls

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
These were really good. I cooked them in the deep fryer and they tasted just like warm donuts. This was a really great and fast treat. I made mine with powdered sugar mixed with a little cinnamon. Yummy!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
I was not overly impressed by this chicken. It was bland to me. I might try to make it with cornflakes next time or add different seasonings to bring out more flavor. My husband liked it, but he is pretty picky and likes bland foods.

Casey and Leigh's Delightful Fruit Dip

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
I don't know what I did wrong but this came out way too runny and was still clumpy. My mother-in-law makes this minus the yogurt so I thought I'd give it a try. I was very disappointed. Next time I'll make it without the yogurt and see how it turns out. Maybe I used too much yogurt (I didn't measure) and I also used Fat Free Cream Cheese.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
I thought it was excellent. My husband, on the other hand, didn't like the cinnamon taste. Next time I will cook without the cinnamon and see how it comes out. Also, for some reason mine burnt pretty bad on the smaller piece even though I followed the directions for grilling. I think I will either wrap it in foil or cook on the top rack next time. Oh, and others had suggested I used Red Wine Viniger instead of the sherry. All in all it was pretty good!

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
I absolutely loved this recipe. I'm a beginner cook and this was so easy to make. I only marinated the chicken for an hour and that seemed to be enough. I added pineapple pieces to the kabobs and it was great! This is a wonderful and easy recipe!!!
