Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
Oh boy! okay I followed the directions 100% the only thing I added was a strawberry rhubarb topping (from this site) and a butter cream frosting which I dabbed all around the edges to hide the imperfections. ( you know minor cracks) It looked so professionally done I could not believe it. I am a supervisor at Costco and thanks to my bakery staff I learned how to make it look soooo goood. What a wonderful recipe lite and creamy. Next time I will use a mango glaze topping. remember don't change the recipe. Just add an incredible glaze or topping and be creative in the end.

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
This was a most excellent recipe. I followed it right to the detail, but I like my chocolate a little sweeter, I think next time I make this I will take the others advice and use more sugar. This recipe is most definitely a keeper. My family really loved it.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
You know I once tried to make a coconut cream pie from a cool whip and jello instant pudding recipe and it came out awful. I mean it was beyond awful. A mud pie from my backyard would have tasted better. It was watery and I will never ever attempt to do it again. NOW THIS RECIPE IS TO DIE FOR!! I followed the directions as followed and made my own whipped cream with powdered sugar and a half pint of whipping cream. My son and daughter and a few friends really enjoyed this and could not believe I actually made this. Thank you Carol an outstanding recipe, truly enjoyable. 5 stars is not enough. :)

Irish Cream Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Now this was incredible!!!!! What a great recipe. really important to follow the directions, especially when tempering. 3 tablespoons of the hot cream mixture at a time to the egg mixture and wisk at the same time. the creme brulee was so creamy and what an incredible flavor. I made 12 ramekins and our guests went crazy. They were really impressed when I pulled out my torch that I purchased at bed bath and beyond just for this dish. Used raw sugar to make the candy carmelized coating. Thank you for a truly incredible desert.

Ghirardelli® Classic White Chocolate Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
What a fantastic desert. Made this yesterday had some today and if you love chocolate your gonna love this rich and creamy brilliant desert. Use only the best heavy cream, ( land o lakes) organic heavy cream, and place a towel on the bottom of your roasting pan. fill with boiling water to the half way point of the ramekin. Great tip to get rid of those bubbles pour through a strainer before you pour into ramekins. If you still have a few bubbles use your brulee torch on em and they will disappear. if you dont have a brulee torch trust me buy one at bed bath and beyond. good luck.... :)

Cathy's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
This is a great recipe. Truly the best banana bread I've ever had. Very moist. Some breads I've had have been very dry, not this one. Tip: make sure you use very ripe bananas, make sure skins are dark not spotted. I used four. I also made a caramel glaze that I got from another recipe here. ( 6 table spoons of butter, 6 table spoons of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon if vanilla extract. Melt butter over medium heat, add sugar and vanilla. Stir till sugar disolves and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes and pour over bread. YUM!!!!! Thank you for a great recipe......
