Chocolate Cheesecake I

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
Overall, I really liked the recipe. I only had two problems: I tried the bath method, and even with two layers of foil, the water seeped in and made my crust soggy. Also, my cake didn't have any cracks after baking for 55 min. I did as the recipe says and turned off the oven, and left the cake in to cool but when I checked it after only 30 minutes, it had a huge crack down the middle. I'll definitely make it again but without the bath and the extra hour in the oven.

Caramel Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
I made this pie for Thanksgiving and it was delicious. I preferred this over my homemade pumpkin pie. I love sweetness so this was not too sweet for me!

Crab Rangoon III

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2007
This was the first time I made crab rangoon which is one our family's favorite items at the chinese restaurant. My husband and girls (5 and 3 years old) loved them. We also had fun making them!

Shrimp Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2007
I followed several suggestions left by other reviews and this still did not come out good for me. I let my rice dry and it was still mushy. I'm going to keep trying and maybe use a different kind of rice. I don't know if that'll make a difference??

Beefy Baked Ravioli

This recipe has become one of our regular meals! It's easy and taste delicious. I substitute ground turkey for the ground beef and we can't tell the difference.

Baked Ziti II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2007
Tasty and easy! I was surprised at how much it made. I didn't use all the noodles b/c it would have been too dry.

Creamy Caramel Flan

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
I made this for a get together and it turned out so good. It is very rich- even for my sweet tooth- and tastes great with coffee. My sugar also hardened while spreading it but it did melt in the oven. I even left the flan in the pan overnight and when I inverted it, the sauce still ran down the sides.

English Muffin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
This has become a staple recipe in my house. We all enjoy having some for breakfast and if there's any leftover, for a snack later. I don't use the cornmeal and it still tastes great.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
I made this for a friend for her birthday. Only I forgot about starting it early enough to slow cook so I just cooked it on the stove. Came out great. Even though we didn't use any spicy options, it still came out spicier than expected. Must have been the enchilada sauce?

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
I made these for a friend and her family. She gave me the idea to coat the sticks with oil before placing veggies and chicken on them to keep them from sticking. Also, I did not realize how much time it would take to slide these onto each stick. Very good recipe.

Yummy recipe. I accidentally bought a chocolate cake mix instead of brownies and still came out great.

Butternut Squash Risotto

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
In my first batch I did not cook the onions long enough and it made a BIG difference. The second batch tasted so much sweeter and better when I cooked the onions longer. I made this for a friend and her family and her 6 year old loved it!

Yummy. My husband really liked this creative idea. This could really be dressed up many ways. Next time, I'll add black olives and green chile peppers to the topping.

Pecan Pumpkin Dessert

Our family LOVES this recipe. I'll be making it tonight for the second time this month. Every layer is delicious. I followed the recipe exactly and had no problems. When I inverted, I placed a bigger pan over it and then flipped it and it worked great.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
My meatloaf kind of fell apart...may have been something I missed. I love onions but also agree with the previous reviewer that a whole onion is too much. I like the sauce added to it.
