Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
This was delicious. I almost didn't buy celery salt but I'm so glad that I did....it made a huge difference. I left out the actual celery since my husband doesn't care for the texture of it. I doubled the sauce as suggested by others but I couldn't fit it all into the pan and it was even a deep dish. I sat the extra filling aside and we added some extra to our bowls. Next time I make this, I'm going to try making my own crust and doubling up on it since that's one of the family's favorite parts.

Garden Veggie Pizza Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2012
I made this for my daughter's 11th bday which was not a big hit for kids but the adults loved it. I think that I would do less ranch next time as it was a little too salty (and I like salt!).

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2012
This is such an easy recipe and very delicious. I forgot to buy the granules so I added a little extra salt and ham. There was still plenty of flavor. If you're cooking this for a family of 4, I'd recommend doubling the recipe...if my husband had been home, we would not have had enough for seconds between me and my two children. (That's with serving each person 2 ladlefuls of soup).

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
I was so afraid of OVERcooking this (based on other reviews) that I UNDERcooked it. I took it out when it jiggled in the center and it even cracked but was still not completely set in the center. I crushed generic Oreo cookies for the crust and was surprised at how well that turned out as I didn't know what the cream in the center would do but you can't even tell the difference.

All Day Apple Butter

I did this on the stove since I had something else in the crockpot. Mine came out very thick but delicious. My kids loved it!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
I added just one cup of sugar and a few more capfuls of lemon juice. I wanted thicker bars so I put mine in a 9x9 pan and lowered the heat to 350 but kept the same baking time and they turned out great! (On a side note, I too can't stand when people alter the recipe so much that their explanation is longer than the original recipe. Why don't they just submit their own?) I do appreciate reading TIPS and others experiences, though!

Cheesy Italian Pull Apart Bread

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
I only had one canof biscuits but it still tasted great. I had overlapped the biscuits so the corners that were covered were still doughy. So I had to separate and pop back in the oven for a couple of minutes. I look forward to making this again.

Creme Brulee II

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
I forgot to read the reviews which I regretted later. This brulee definitely needs more eggs. Mine did not set very well but it still tasted good!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I've made these several times now and it is definitely my family's favorite (I don't even make the frosting). Once, when the computer was down, I made brownies from the recipe on the cocoa can and my kids could tell that they weren't the same brownies and kept telling me that they liked these better.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

These were delicious. I plan on making them for a girlfriend's b-day picnic. I followed the recipe exactly and had no problems with the cookies drying out, not even the day or two afterwards.

Margaret's Southern Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I was looking for a chocolate pie that didn't use cool whip or pudding and this was great. My butter (???) oozed out of the filling though and just sat around the edges of the crust. It was yummy anyway!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
My meatloaf kind of fell apart...may have been something I missed. I love onions but also agree with the previous reviewer that a whole onion is too much. I like the sauce added to it.

Our family LOVES this recipe. I'll be making it tonight for the second time this month. Every layer is delicious. I followed the recipe exactly and had no problems. When I inverted, I placed a bigger pan over it and then flipped it and it worked great.

Yummy. My husband really liked this creative idea. This could really be dressed up many ways. Next time, I'll add black olives and green chile peppers to the topping.
