I've never tried something on this site with such high ratings and been so disappointed! The sauce was SO salty I had to dump it down the sink and start again. I was able to make a good variation based off of this recipe, but I DO NOT suggest making it as the recipe states. What worked for me: made the chicken with egg/breading and fried. Made the sauce using 1/4 cup margarine (didn't have butter), 2 TBSP lemon juice, 1 TBSP sugar, a dash of garlic, basil, crushed bay leaves, then thickened with cornstarch/water mixture. Poured sauce over chicken at the table. It turned out quite tasty with these modifications.
