I started cooking early on in life, helping out my mom when I could barely see over the counter top. I progressed into starting dinners when she had to work late and eventually was preparing whole meals for the family in no time. I loved the feeling of seeing people enjoy my food and now that I'm on my own, I am on here looking for new and exciting flavours and recipes to try out! One of my favourite movies is Julie & Julia...go figure haha :)
Happy Cooking Everyone!
My favorite things to cook
Swedish meatballs are currently my "show stopper". We had a party where a friend hated mushrooms, but ate my swedish meatballs knowing they were made with cream of mushroom soup and he loved them! haha The mango salsa recipe is what made me fall in love with this site :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday night was always a meat and potatoes with gravy type of dinner with salads and of course...a pickle tray :)
My cooking triumphs
As a kid my poor mother would come home to a disastrous kitchen and the smell of BURNTNESS haha. It was always when I attempted to bake cookies. They never once turned out, until I found the Soft Chewy Oatmeal cookie recipe on allrecipes.com. Here I am 30 years old and finally had my cookies turn out!
