Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
I tasted the pudding while I was making this trifle and thought it might be too sweet, but when it was all put together and refrigerated, it was just right. I used leftover (week-old) brownies and you couldn't tell at all -- there was no leftover trifle!

Poppy Seed Poultry Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
This was delicious! I prepared as directed, except I cooked the rice in the microwave, and I stirred 2 cups frozen broccoli into the casserole. We ate this back to back for dinner and lunch the next day -- it was that yummy! Update: The second time I made this, I didn't have leftover chicken, so I just quickly poached the chicken breast in water. My husband noticed the difference! To avoid the blandness the third time, I sauteed the chicken in olive oil with a little garlic salt. Again, none of this is necessary with leftover chicken that already has some seasoning.

Stuffed Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
We love this recipe! I use whole wheat bread, so I have to increase the poultry seasoning to 1/2 tsp. before I can really taste it. Also, I don't brown the pork chops separately anymore -- I just skip straight to the oven and I can't tell the difference.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
This is very similar to my chocolate chip cookie recipe: just add 2 tsp. baking soda, 2 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. salt, and OMIT the white sugar. Use as few or as many chocolate chips as you like. Also, this dough keeps in the fridge up to a week -- you'll never need another cookie recipe!

Gloomy Day Smoothie

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
This was delicious! I used what I had on hand: pineapple juice instead of orange juice and plain yogurt instead of vanilla, and it came out with just the right amount of sweet and tart. The smoothie did need to be chilled in the fridge before enjoying.
