Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
I make this recipe all the time and LOVE it! I cooked it a day ahead of its planned dinner last week, and my husband practically drooled over it until the next evening. I made it again tonight to go with the Baked Potato Soup from Kristie Teague also on this site. It's good with everything, and hubby said it should win a prize. (Then he asked if I made up the recipe. Ha ha ha ha ha! He knows my secret is anything with a good rating from allrecipes!) Thanks, Jo, for a treat we enjoy often!

Autumn Apple Salad II

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
This is a quick, easy, delicious and healthy recipe. I didn't have almonds so subbed chopped pecans and didn't bother to toast them. My husband, 3-year-old, and I loved this. Hubby liked it even better than my usual take-to-every-potluck apple salad recipe made with dried cranberries, OJ and cinnamon. And this is easier to make! Thanks for a great recipe, Daisy!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
My husband and I LOVED this soup! I'd put in only about 1/2 t of salt next time and we omitted the hot sauce, but otherwise it was perfect for us. When I glanced over the recipe thinking I needed to put the potatoes in the oven to bake, I thought it said "Baking potatoes, peeled and diced," so I didn't cook them ahead. (It's amazing how little kids running around can affect my reading skills! :)) Anyway, I just boiled the diced potatoes in the broth-flour mixture until they were done, then added the half and half. Worked just fine and didn't take long. We topped it with bacon, cheddar, and green onions. Make sure to double the recipe for an adequate amount of leftovers! :)

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
I wanted to try something beyond our usual cereal for breakfast when all our relatives visited for Easter, and I'm always looking for an excuse to eat biscuits and gravy. My husband made the gravy while I made the biscuits, with the only change being that we doubled the recipe and used one sage and one regular roll of sausage. My mother-in-law said this was the best gravy she's ever had! (and that was even before she heard that her son had made it! :))
