Camp Trail Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
Perfect for a snack. Make sure to use carob chips and not chocolate - it last longer and no melting issues!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
By far one of the best recipes I've picked up from All Recipes. Always a crowd please, no changes are needed to the recipe, great for pretty much every potluck or family gathering, and insanely easy to throw together. Thanks for sharing this gem.

One of my go to recipes on busy nights. I reduce the salt slightly.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
Okay -- It was a struggle but I followed the directions exactly. By not adding the soup (or any water/wine) at the beginning, the chicken cooked in a way that almost browned or seared. I did however, let the butter melt completely and ensured it completely covered the base before adding the chicken. I also added the entire packet of dry Italian dressing (some suggested only using half). This was a success for my family - I would make this again. I might consider adding some additional spices or using a more robust mix (I used mild). I considered it slightly bland - although my husband loved it and stroganoff in general is mild.

Tropical Sweet Potato Fries

followed directions exactly - make sure you use sea salt it really puts it over the edge. Big hit at our picnic. Shame on the reviewer who gave 1 star for something the submitter can't control.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
I can see what all the hype is about! I followed the recipe exactly. One tip: you really should get 24 mini muffins out of this. I filled most about 3/4 and some were hard to get out because they were overfilled. If you use a standard mini muffin tin, shoot for 50% full.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2010
Flat as a pancake. Didn't cook in the middle but overcooked on the edges. I followed to recipes exactly (expect only using 1 cup of flour as other reviewers suggested). My baking soda is good, so I'm not sure what happened...

French Toast Corners

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
very easy and quick to make! Perfect for a weekend breakfast without the hassle. I used normal white bread (like wonder bread) and had no problems. I don't think it's worth using a thicker bread unless you happen to have it on hand (meaning, I wouldn't run to the store to get it).

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I had some leftover whole cranberries I wanted to use from Thanksgiving. I chopped them in half and added the listed amount. I used more zest than called for (in both the cookie and the icing). These turned out to be my favorite cookie of the season. Not too sweet, a little tange from the berries, stayed mosit for awhile. The orange taste and the cranberry tase really go well together. try using fresh berries cut in half!

Chocolate Chow Mein Clusters

Very simple and yummy recipe. I doubled the recipe (and can't imagine not). To make the small clusters to get the serving size indicated use two spoons to scoop and ball the clusters.

Hubby gave this a 5, I gave it a 3(compromise and rating a 4). There was something... off... but I can't place my finger on it. Followed the recipe exactly, and I'll probably try this again.

Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I really did not like the crust... it stayed together but if I make this again I'll stick with a standard graham cracker crust. Most likely I'll use a different recipe since this is a common dessert.

Blueberry 'N' Spice Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
This was not at all what I expected. Very good, but don't expect it to taste like restaurant spiced blueberry sauce. I let mine cool and ate it on angel food cake. It would be wonderful on pound cake. I can't really imagine it on pancakes or waffles because it would compete with the taste. I will save this for special occasion/company dessert.

Apple Spice Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
yummy! I used 1 red delicious apple and 2 granny smith. I left the skin on the red delicious to give it a little more texture and since it's good for you! I used 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup cinnamon applesauce but did not omit the other cinnamon. I used my food processer to chop the apples since I'm terrible at that. I made mini muffins with these so I reduce the baking time.

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
I've used this recipe two Thanksgivings in a row. I love the almond flavoring and the wonderful consistency of the batter when cooked. The only change I make is reducing the amount of cranberries to 1.5 cups and maybe add a smidgen more almond flavoring and dash more sugar. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
