Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2015
OMG... WOW!!!! Super delicious recipe. Great way to use up leftover ham. I followed the recipe as written except that I found I needed to add salt to the sauce - could be that my ham wasn't as salty as most. My husband said this recipe is "definitely a keeper!"

Sweet Teriyaki Beef Skewers

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2014
This marinade is excellent. I used it to marinate London Broil that I served with Fried Rice I and Wow! Sweet and Sour Sauce. A delicious inexpensive dinner!

Wow! Sweet and Sour Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2014
My husband and I had this with Fried Rice I and enjoyed it. If I make this again, I will add less ketchup. The flavor of the sauce was good but I could definitely taste the ketchup in it.

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2014
My husband and I enjoyed this with Sweet Teriyaki Marinated London Broil (used marinade from Sweet Teriyaki Beef Skewer recipe) and WOW! Sweet and Sour Sauce. I needed to add a bit more soy sauce than the recipe called for but other than that, followed it to the letter. My husband said "it's a keeper!"

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2014
My mom loves pineapple and angel food cake, so I thought I would give this a try. It was a HUGE hit! My Dad thought that it sounded bizarre but tried it anyway and absolutely loved it!. Because it is so easy, it definitely inspires you to try modifying it, but really you don't need to. It is perfect just the way it is! P.S. I didn't have a problem getting the cake out of the pan cooling it right side up.

Grilled Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2013
This Grilled Buffalo Wings recipe has been a huge hit every time I've made them. The last time I made them I had bought a 12 oz bottle of Frank's Red Hot, so instead of using the cayenne pepper, I used the entire bottle of Red Hot. I also did more than 3 pounds of chicken wings... closer to 5 pounds with this sauce recipe. I served them with homemade Bleu Cheese dressing. My dad said they were better than any restaurant!

1-2-3 Strawberry Gelatin Parfait

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2013
When made with Sugar Free Geletin and unsweetened whipped cream, this dessert is under 100 calories and really delicious!!! I am not generally a gelatin person and I loved it and found it incredibly satisfying. My husband said it was excellent, but he thinks anything with gelatin in it is good so you can't go by him!!! ;-)

Garlic Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
This is a huge hit every time I serve it. To keep it very low carb, I serve it tossed with spaghetti squash on the side of parmesan crusted chicken. Delish!

Sharon's Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
The flavor of this stew is excellent! Very well received!!! I like the stew a bit thicker so after the second hour I mixed up another batch of the 4 tsp cornstarch/4 tsp water, gently stirred it into the simmering stew and let it simmer for another 10 minutes. EXCELLENT!!!

Sherry Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
I made this with stuff I had in the house and my husband loved it. Instead of the beans, I minced and blanched some carrots and mixed them with some frozen baby peas. Instead of Sherry, I used Chardonnay. Instead of 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, I used 1 can of cream of chicken and 1 can of cream of mushroom. Sooooo yummy. Tasted like a chicken pot pie and the parmesan cheese made a low carb friendly crust. Delicious.

Chicken with Mushrooms, Prosciutto, and Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
My husband loved this, the flavor was really good, I just can't enjoy chicken on the bone (as much as I want to because of the $$$ savings). I used heavy cream instead of sour cream but otherwise followed the recipe. Next time I will try with boneless, skinless chicken breast and cook it for less time. If you like chicken on the bone, highly recommend this recipe.

Banana Oatmeal Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
Very nice breakfast style cake and a terrific use for ripe bananas. I added the cinnamon to the dry ingredients of the batter and the 1 Tablespoon of flour to the crumb mixture as suggested. It had great flavor and my guests enjoyed it. Thank you!

Stuffed Mushrooms with Spinach

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
Huge Hit! I brought these to a party (multiplied the recipe by 5) and everyone raved about them. Then I served them as a side dish and it was something different that made a pretty presentation. I can't recommend this recipe more highly.

Asparagus, Chicken, and Pecan Pasta

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
I found this recipe to be bland. I actually put a tablespoon of freshly minced garlic and everyone thought it could still use alot more. I also thought some red pepper flakes could have helped. I gradually added the parmesan cheese and it didn't blend in very nicely. I thought the pecans were a nice touch, but they kind of freaked my sister out when she thought it could possibly be a hard piece of chicken. I think the next time I would make it without the chicken, maybe just toss the parmesan on at the end rather than trying to blend it in and definitely add more spices.

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
Sooooooo delicious!!! It tastes more like a sticky bun than french toast. Don't skip the caramel sauce when you serve it, it really adds the finishing touch. We went through all of the caramel sauce and only half of the pan of french toast, so I would suggest doubling the sauce if you think the entire pan of toast will be eaten. This is very sweet, so keep that in mind if you aren't a fan of sweets for breakfast. My whole family loved it when I served it for Christmas Brunch.
