Old-Fashioned Italian Zucchini Fritters

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
Growing up we always had Fried Zucchini Sandwiches. This recipe would be so much easier if you sliced your zucchini after peeling the skins off. Dipping it in Flour, THEN dipping into your egg that has the basil, grated cheese, s&p and garlic powder and frying it up. You can also make Zucchini Parm like you make Chicken Parm. Bake this in an oven with sauce and grated/shredded cheese! Several meal variations when you cook it like this!

The recipe went home with a few of our friends who have since made this, and they to got great reviews! I love easy desserts that get a lot of positive reviews!!!!

Corn and Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This is absolutely the best chowda I've ever had (even though it's listed as a bisque)!!! You can use this recipe for just corn chowda, or go with fish or crab. I cut the recipe in half just in case it was just an OK recipe, and I wished I had used the original recipe. My boyfriend & I fought over the left overs!!! This is definately a keeper!!! Thank you TattoChicc

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
What a delicious and easy recipe! The only thing I did differently was after pouring the pasta water on the spinach I then added the spinach to the diced tomatoes and garlic mixture that was heating on the stove. The boyfriend absolutely LOVED the flavors!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
I made this soup and it was absolutely wonderful! I bought a smoky ham and diced it up and the flavors in this soup just exploded! Definately a keeper! Next time I'll do 1c of milk and 1c of Half & Half just to thicken it a little bit more! Other than that, it was perfect!

Italian-Style Spaghetti Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
First off, the hardest thing about this dish is cutting the squash in half. Since I was having trouble, I just microwaved the whole squash in the water. After 5 minutes, it was easy to cut, then I did as the recipe said. The only difference I did was add 2 cloves of garlic with the onions. I've never made S.Squash, but I enjoyed this recipe soooooo much!!!! I'll definately make this again !!!!

Spicy Black and Red Bean Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2005
I made this for supper last night and did add extra garlic and cayanne pepper and it came out perfect. What a nice little zing it had!!! Matter of fact, looking at the recipe this morning I noticed I had forgotten the diced tomatoes. Forgetting this ingredient I was still very impressed with this soup, so I wont add this ingredient to my left overs, but I may possibly(?) add this the next time I make this. Great recipe Chelsea!!!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
My family has used this recipe since the 70's and it is absolutely delish!!! Of course you can use this on Chix Wings which come out just as good AND if you minus the honey, it's a wonderful marinade a Pork Tenderloin. Cook the Pork Tenderloin on low, it stays moist!!!

Rum Swizzles

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
There's nothing more refreshing than having a drink in the summer time made from Pineapple & Orange Juice. I haven't made this yet, but I have been making drinks w/Ginger Beer. And ladies Ginger Beer also comes in Diet (no sugar). I believe the regular Ginger Beer is 26 or 27 grams of sugar. I'll update this review after I try this, but for now, I can taste this drink w/little wedges of oranges on the rim of the glass! Mmmmm

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
I gave this 5 stars even though I didn't thing it was outstanding. Now the sauce was outstanding and this made the dessert!!! I made this for x-mas, and everyone seemed to enjoy it, but I think I'll keep searching for another bread pudding. Please note that I used half a challah bread (10-12 oz), and it fit perfectly in the 9 x 13 pan.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
I made this for Peter and he absolutely loved it! I could take or leave a bowl of chili, but never having made chili before, and tasting it when it was done, I have to admit, I was impressed, and had more than a couple bowls. As others suggested I omitted the Tomatoe Juice and replaced it with 2 large cans of diced tomatoes. Good work George, this is a keeper!

Groovy Green Smoothie

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
DELISH !!!! The only different thing I did was I used applesauce because I had it on hand instead of the 1/2 apple, then added a little milk because it was to thick drinking this from a staw. Got my greens picked the night before and got my yogurt & applesauce measured, so all I had to do was throw everything into my blender, and off to work I went !!!

Brie en Croute

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I've been making this for over 10 years, and yes, it's always a hit! Because I like to have a table of several appertisers, I usually make this with the smaller triangle shaped Brie and using a 1/2 sheet of pastry. At times I havn't used the parsley, but just the sheet of dough.

Unbelievable Spinach Calzones

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I didn't realize the recipe called for 2 lbs of dough; I had only bought 1 lb, but everything still came out fine. I made one long (log) calzone, and the top/middle was busting at the seams, but of course it didn't change the taste and just made it look that more appealing. I also added garlic powder to the filling but that would be optional to someone else.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
I think AllRecipes should combine the Saved & Reviewed Totals with the Zucchini Bread IV here on this site. It's exactly the same (except for the walnuts 1/2c vs 1c). This other recipe has 16,588 Saved and 753 Reviews. Whatever the case may be V Monte & Kristin both have given AllRecipes an awesome Zucchini Bread Recipe that everyone loves (and the figures tell you that).

This recipe is exactly the same as the English Muffin Bread submitted by Jo. The only difference is, one is called a bread and other is called a loaf - otherwise everything is exactly the same.

Italian Wedding Soup II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2005
This soup is absolutely wonderful! Believe it or not, the thing that took the longest was chopping up the escarole, but putting that aside the flavors were delicious! I used 50% less sodium and FF Chix Broth. I also used ground Turkey and 4C's new low carb Bread Crumbs and LF Parmesian Cheese, and you would never had known because it tasted like the real thing. The only problem I had was with the 3 eggs and 1 cup cheese, that cup of cheese made my soup very salty, but it was an easy fix, just add more chicken broth. I had 3 bowls for supper and was VERY satisfied.
