Nugget Pudding I

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2000
I can't see this dessert feeding 8 people . . . it made a nice toasty brown topping itself, but I remixed everything together again, and cooked it another 5-10 minutes. This is VERY EASY to make, and I tasted 1 spoonful before putting it back into the oven, which tasted very good. But I would definately give this a 2-Thumbs Down

English Muffin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2004
I've been making this bread for about a year now, and I love it because it's soooo easy! For those 1st time bread makers - you have to try this, it's impossible to fail !!! And for those other reviewers who said this bread doesn't taste like English Muffins . . . what do English Muffins really taste like ??? Everyone I've made this bread for as ranted and raved - Thanks Jo !!!

Pumpkin Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2004
Well, the boyfriend loved this, but I just thought it was OK. I guess it was the crust I wasn't fond of (to buttery). I did run out of sugar when making the topping (I was over his house) so it didn't come out crumbly. Since he enjoyed this more than me, I left the recipe with him!

Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
I cut this recipe in half since there were only 2 of us, and made the following revisions. I've always used Challah Bread when it comes to French Toast (it makes the best). So I cut the loaf in half, weighed it, and it was 10 oz. I got 2 small pkg. of Blueberries (4.4 oz each), and I only used 4 eggs instead of the 6. I ALSO ADDED CHOPPED WALNUTS. This came out absolutely wonderful!!!! The only changes I would make next time is to make more sauce and add more walnuts!!!! And believe it or not, having a piece hot and the other luke warm - I much rathered the luke warm piece better. I just zapped the sauce in the mic to heat it up, but I found you could actually taste the flavors more when it sat for a little while!!!!

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
I gave this 5 stars even though I didn't thing it was outstanding. Now the sauce was outstanding and this made the dessert!!! I made this for x-mas, and everyone seemed to enjoy it, but I think I'll keep searching for another bread pudding. Please note that I used half a challah bread (10-12 oz), and it fit perfectly in the 9 x 13 pan.

English Muffin Loaves

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2005
This recipe is exactly the same as the English Muffin Bread submitted by Jo. The only difference is, one is called a bread and other is called a loaf - otherwise everything is exactly the same.

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
I made this crust for SuperBowl Sunday for the first time, and what a hit it was! Some dough did rise for about and hour, and other batches of dough was used almost right away. Both came out fine! My company was thrilled that the Pats won (I live in Boston), and that we had a different kind of pizza to celebrate this occassion!!!! This recipe is a definate keeper.

Italian Wedding Soup II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2005
This soup is absolutely wonderful! Believe it or not, the thing that took the longest was chopping up the escarole, but putting that aside the flavors were delicious! I used 50% less sodium and FF Chix Broth. I also used ground Turkey and 4C's new low carb Bread Crumbs and LF Parmesian Cheese, and you would never had known because it tasted like the real thing. The only problem I had was with the 3 eggs and 1 cup cheese, that cup of cheese made my soup very salty, but it was an easy fix, just add more chicken broth. I had 3 bowls for supper and was VERY satisfied.

Italian-Style Spaghetti Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
First off, the hardest thing about this dish is cutting the squash in half. Since I was having trouble, I just microwaved the whole squash in the water. After 5 minutes, it was easy to cut, then I did as the recipe said. The only difference I did was add 2 cloves of garlic with the onions. I've never made S.Squash, but I enjoyed this recipe soooooo much!!!! I'll definately make this again !!!!

Corn and Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This is absolutely the best chowda I've ever had (even though it's listed as a bisque)!!! You can use this recipe for just corn chowda, or go with fish or crab. I cut the recipe in half just in case it was just an OK recipe, and I wished I had used the original recipe. My boyfriend & I fought over the left overs!!! This is definately a keeper!!! Thank you TattoChicc

Spicy Black and Red Bean Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2005
I made this for supper last night and did add extra garlic and cayanne pepper and it came out perfect. What a nice little zing it had!!! Matter of fact, looking at the recipe this morning I noticed I had forgotten the diced tomatoes. Forgetting this ingredient I was still very impressed with this soup, so I wont add this ingredient to my left overs, but I may possibly(?) add this the next time I make this. Great recipe Chelsea!!!

My Chicken Milano

I made this for supper last night and it was delicious! It was so easy to put together and the flavors were wonderful. I think next time, I'll dice up some potatoes, and throw those in just as an added flaw!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
Simply the Best!!!! Even though I added 1 Potatoe and a little frozen corn. And since I'm a 2 crust kind of gal, I bought the already made Pillsbury Crust. I have plenty of left overs since there are only two of us, but I'm already being asked when the next time I'm going to make this. Thanksgiving is coming, so maybe I'll try a Turkey Pot Pie next. Thank you Cyndi - absolutely delicious and very easy to put together !!!

I made this for Thanksgiving and was asked to make this again for Christmas. Both times I was asked for this recipe by many! The only difference I made to this recipe was I added 2 eggs as another reviewer suggested, and I added Crushed Walnuts and Mini Chocolate Chips! Delicious !!!!

Toasted Coconut, Pecan, and Caramel Pie

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
I made one pie for Mother's Day and made it that morning. Everyone LOVED this dessert, and some went back for seconds! Having 1 extra slice left over, I had that the next day. THERE WAS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE TEXTURE. IT WASN'T BAD ON MOTHER'S DAY, BUT SEEING THE DIFFERENCE ON MONDAY - I WOULD DEFINATELY MAKE THIS PIE THE NIGHT BEFORE FOR THE BETTER TEXTURE AFTER YOU CUT A SLICE!
