Simple Whole Wheat Bread

This was our first attempt at wheat bread, and the other reviews are right...this recipe is awesome. We followed other's suggestions and reduced servings to 24 and only cut back a tad on the honey. It would have been delicious either way, we just wanted something less sweet. Great recipe; easy!

Premium Pizza Crust

I was skeptical when I saw the recipe (no sugar or olive oil)...so I decided to make two batches; the recipe I usually use from this site and this one. Well, we didn't even have to complete the challenge, this dough won hands down. I put my other dough in the freezer...don't know when I'll use it. This recipe took a bit longer (I did the sponge rise method) but it was great!!!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

We liked this recipe. We used it for meatball subs rather than spaghetti. We thought that the meatballs needed salt, but other than that they tasted good. The sauce, while tart, worked well with the french bread and mozarella. If I were to put it on noodles, I would tame the sauce a bit (maybe use tomato sauce rather than paste?). Anyway, a good, easy recipe.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

I added 1 cup ricotta cheese 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese 1/3 cup flat leaf parsley, chopped 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese and combined it with prepared sauce before baking. It was awesome!
