This is the third recipe I used from this site and it was so good I decided to register simply so I could echo everyone's assessment - outstanding!

German Apple Cake I

Awesome! If you use icing - employ the "less is more" philosophy. The cake speaks for itself. Either use confection sugar or drizzle icing on. Great Cake!

Hungarian Goulash II

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
Excellent. Will add a tomato sauce instead of ketchup next time and probably mushrooms too. Regardless, following the directions exactly made for a great authentic goulash.

Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

Good stuff. Easy and delicious. Could use a little more zing to the sauce though but that is a personal choice.

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
Excellent! Because I have two little girls and a pregnant wife, I made it a little less spicy and added slightly more garlic to make up for missing spice. Still terrific.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
Tastes great. Only down side is it gets soggy almost sweaty the next day. If you are serving this to guests, do it the first day. Just for you and family, does not matter if it is a little sweaty because the taste is still great.

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
This was good and certainly hardy. I added frozen peas and mushrooms about halfway through to make it a whole meal along with Pennsylvania Dutch egg noodles.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
This is very good but it is missing something. Maybe more garlic or something along that line. Make as directed then adjust next time for personal taste. I will add more stuffing, add garlic and perhaps mushrooms.

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
I am upgrading my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Having baked these a bunch and following the advice of several, I followed the recipe as directed (still can't find instant espresso!) except I baked for 14 mins at 300. Yes, I know that is not what the recipe calls for and therefore should not change my rating blah blah blah. Great recipe - adjust the time and temp and this will impress any cookie lover. The following is my original review: This is a very good cookie. I could not find instant espresso in my supermarket so I used instant coffee. I will make these for Christmas and use espresso and also cook at 300 for 20 mins. If it tastes better as a result, I will update to 5 stars. Regardless - these are very good.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Terrific - Easy - Tasty. I would not change a thing. It is a little greasy but not so much that I would start to alter the ingredients. Once cooked, take out of loaf pan and place on a plate and this solves a grease issue. This has definitely entered in my Fall-Spring dinner rotation.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs III

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I am easy. I am generally very happy with high-rated recipes from this site. I was very disappointed with this recipe though. It may have been operator error. But Thanksgiving is not the day for a so-so result. I will try this again, as direct, but instead of meatballs I will use sausage. Simply throwing in meatballs with this recipe does not work.

Lemon Asparagus Chicken

Quick, easy and good. Next time I make this I will switch pans when simmering with the other the other ingredients - had a slight chicken juice taste. Also, I sauteed some mushrooms and threw them into the mixture - added flavor and color.

Wake-Up Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Made this for family on Christmas morning. Out of this world. Was skeptical as I was making it and putting ingredients in the casserole dish as to how it would taste and look. Awesome is an understatement. This is very very filling (or at least it will be with your second helping) so do not plan on lunch. This will take you right into dinner - which should justify the second helping.

Creamy Shrimp and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Home run! I served this with Christmas dinner and it was delicious and well praised. I did add Old Bay (4 Tbs) to spice it up and to cover for the chicken broth taste. Minor adjustment to a great recipe.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
I cannot believe that in my nearly 40 years on Earth that I never saw this recipe before! This was sooo easy and sooo delicious that I expect to make this with every excuse I can make - family gatherings, kids parties, etc. I really enjoy cooking complicated recipes to test my skills and people do appreciate the effort as well. I will never admit how easy this is. The one minor thing I did different from the recipe was to use Pillsbury biscuits with butter already in the biscuit.

These wings were absolutely restaurant quality. I like my wings both hot and sweet so I added honey to this recipe. Will be serving these during the playoffs and Super Bowl for sure.
