Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2004
Yummy! We halved the recipe and used a stove-top stirring wand type popper. We used the three kernel tip suggested in several other reviews. It was wonderful! Easy to make and tasty!

Lemon Lush

I made this for Easter and it was a big hit. Next time I will make real whipped cream instead of using whipped topping.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: May 17, 2004
This was delicious. We followed the recipe exactly and thought it was great. We served it to adults and children and all agreed it was a "keeper".

Black Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2002
This is delicious and easy. My husband and I both loved snacking on it and even my 2 year old enjoyed it. We used a can of black-eyed peas for one of the black beans. I omitted the cilantro since I didn't have any and I think it was fine, but hopefully next time I'll have it! This made a healthy snack with plenty to share.

Almond Coconut Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2002
Yummy! My husband made this for my mother's birthday (isn't he a good son-in-law?) and everybody loved it. He didn't use all of the the coconut topping or the chocolate, but it was so rich. You really need to have milk on hand when you serve this one. I already had a request to make it for another birthday. A keeper around here!

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: May 27, 2002
This is one yummy cake. I made it for Easter and everyone loved it, especially the kids. I do think that there is a little too much whipped topping, but other than that it is really good. It is sweet, but we like it that way!

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: May 27, 2002
This is awesome! My 2 year old and hubby who both say they don't like spinach gobbled this up. OK, so my daughter did eat more strawberries than spinach, but hubby had 2 helpings! Don't prepare this too far in advance, because the spinach shrinks down a lot (like when you cook it).

Whipped Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2002
This was NOT a hit with our family. It was way to close to baby food butternut squash and the sour cream overpowered the squash. It reminded us of baked potatoes. We won't be making this one again-kids wouldn't touch it and adults only ate enough to be polite.

Hugs and Kisses Crescents

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2002
These are the easiest things to make and they taste yummy, too. I made them for Christmas Eve dessert and they were a huge hit. They do definetely have the unmistakable flavor of a Hershey's Kiss, but it melts into the most wonderful gooey filling. My 2 year old loved them. This one's a keeper!

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2002
Yummy! I made this for guests to snack on while I was finishing up dinner and everyone loved it! They went home with the recipe and the little bit that was left-over. Even my veggie-hating 2 year old loved it. I'll make it again and again just to get some veggies in her! Great recipe!

This is delicious! It stayed fresh and moist for over a week when wrapped in plastic wrap. This is my new banana bread standby!

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2001
This was fantastic! My husband who is not crazy about squash and my 2 year old who is not crazy about anything nutritious both loved it. It really couldn't be easier. This is going to be a regular on our menu!

Sauteed Apples

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2001
I made these for Christmas morning breakfast and everyone loved them. They did take a little longer than the recipe says to become tender, but were well worth it. We will have these again and again.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2001
This recipe is wonderful. I just made these for my 2 year old's playgroup and their mommies. Both moms and kids loved them. This is a great way to sneak in some fruits and veggies to the little ones. I didn't scale the recipe, but it ended up making 21 big muffins instead of 18. I will absolutely make these again. Yum!

Hot Cocoa Mix

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2001
This makes a great "emergency gift". I keep several jars of it on hand during the holidays. Make sure that the powdered milk you get isn't too granulated or it doesn't mix together right. Flavored creamers really do make it wonderful.
