Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
I wish I could give this recipe 10 stars! I followed it exactly for the first batch, and it was AMAZING! I wanted to make another batch for my hubby to take to work tomorrow, but my store was out of blueberries! (I know! Crazy!) So I bought a frozen bag of mixed berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries & blackberries) YUM! I could eat the entire loaf by myself! So glad I found this recipe!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
If I could give this 10 stars, I would! Easy, yummy and really made alot! I have plenty of leftovers for a few days, and I can enjoy it over & over! I followed the recipe exactly, except I forgot the cream, so I just used milk I had on hand (1%) and I don't like onions, so we didn't add the onions.

Bananas Foster Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
This was so yummy! So, I've always wondered why people don't make monkey bread with cinnamon roll dough instead of just biscuit dough. I bought one tube of caramel rolls and one of cinnamon. I used the caramel sauce that came with the rolls and put it in the bottom of a bundt pan, and then followed the rest of the recipe exactly as written. It was VERY yummy, very caramelly (if that is a word!) and a big hit at my house!

Excellent! But make sure you double, triple or even quadruple the recipe, because it doesn't make enough!

Salmon Tango

This is THE BEST recipe I have ever tried from this website! I hate butter, so I used olive oil, but all other ingredients stayed the same. I went to use my grill and oops, no gas! So I baked it in the oven at 375 for 30 minutes (took a bit longer than other reviewers because I had a thick piece). Will make this again in a heartbeat! My EXTREMELY picky 11 year old ate the whole piece! That in itself makes me thrilled!

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
Very tasty! So, I hate when people talk about how they changed everything in a recipe because then it's not really the recipe! I didn't have everything the recipe called for, so I did my best to replace with simliar items. I didn't have regular brandy, so I used cherry brandy. I didn't have triple sec, so I used Grand Mariner. I didn't have maraschino cherries, but I did have some sour cherries from Trader Joe's that I added. I let it sit about 30 hours. YUM! It was a hit! Thanks for the recipe!

Banana Split Bars

I followed the advice of others and made this in 2 store bought graham crackers crusts. I put strawberries on the top instead of cherries, and I drizzled chocolate topping over it. Simple easy and really yummy!

Linguine with Clam Sauce and Baby Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
Holy Hannah......can you say "salty"??????? I even followed other reviews and cut the bouillon cubes down to 3, but I'm thinking you could do away with them all together. The idea itself was good, that's why I gave it three stars.

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

It was fine, but I don't think it needs more than 3 stars because it wasn't real impressive.

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This was very easy, and most everyone liked it. Next time I would use less bread; the center just seemed a ittle too soggy, like it couldn't cook long enough without burning the top. I would cut the cheese down just a bit as well.

Fettucine Carbonara

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
This was really good. I added a couple extra peices of bacon, some chopped ham and peas. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I really couldn't get past the fact that I was using eggs and not cooking them the way you would normally cook eggs. It was my own fault, I didn't read the entire recipe before I started to make it. I don't know if I will make it again.

Really good, very easy! My own personal opinion, I could have gone without the chocolate chips. I think next time I will try cinnamon chips instead!

Gramma's French Toast Casserole

I am just finishing my piece for breakfast. Super yummy! I used cinnamon raisin bagels instead of bread, but did everything the same. Used 6 eggs. Boys ate it and liked it. Me too!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
Really good...really easy! I got nervous reading other reviews saying they used a differnt kind of roast, when I had already gotten the rump roast. But it turned out just fine! I followed other reviews and added some worchester sauce, minced garlic, and onion powder. I sliced it up and put back in the juice for about a half hour. I also used swiss cheese when heating the buns. My hubby & I like horseradish, too, so we added that to our buns. YUMMY! Will make this one again!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
Really easy...really good. I would use a little less chicken, and a little more buffalo sauce. But that is just my family. I also followed other reviews and baked my crust for about 6 minutes, then put just enough blue cheese on top and spread it around. Maybe a cup, total? And I'm not too sure what the butter did, other than make it a bit more greasy. I think next time I will omit it. But there will be a next time!

Shrimp and Feta Cheese Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
My family liked this, but we all agreed it was missing something. I agree with other reviewers that the noodle to sauce ratio is way off; next time I will add more wine & more tomatoes. I think I will also add some veggies to it.

Tilapia Scampi

This was very good! Even my 9 year old ate it up! I only gave it four stars because I found it almost impossible to flip the fish without it falling to pieces. I opted not to flip and it still turned out yummy!

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This was spectacular! You have no idea what kinds of horrible meatloaf recipes I grew up with from my Dad's cooking ( think crushed Fruit Loops instead of breadcrumbs and raisins!) so it really took a leap of faith for me to make this! It sounded so good, I had to try. I used 1/2 beef, 1/2 ground turkey. I used bread crumbs and extra mushrooms. It smelled so good while it was cooking! It was reviewed as a winner by my family, and my DH said to make sure to make him a car package for his lunch tomorrow! I will make this again!
