Sunflower Oatmeal Cookies - Winter Solstice Cookie

I left out the coconut (don't like it) I made these for Winter Solstice, so I dip them in yellow sugar before baking - the sugar formed a sort of crust on the top of the cookie - I think that they are really great - let's see what the others think at the Solstice celebration - I'm always looking for Solstice treats and these fit the bill because of the sunflower seeds

Wild Rice Pancakes

I have gluten issues and altered this recipe for GF buckwheat pancakes - adding the wild rice to them gave them a whole new and pleasant flavor - thanks for the idea

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

I had a flourless chocolate cake in a very nice restaurant this past weekend and enjoyed it very much. I did a search for flourless chocolate cake here on AR – so that I could duplicate the dessert. Here it is – Flourless Chocolate Cake with a warm raspberry sauce – served with two small dollops of sweetened whipped cream on the side and a very small scoop of raspberry sherbet. Mine came out just like the restaurants and I’m so glad, because now I can have this fabulous dessert anytime and I even get to share it with family and friends.

Insalata Caprese II

This is my all time favorite dish during the summer - I can't get enough of fresh plum tomatoes straight from the vine and fresh snipped basil. We always have fresh mozzarella cheese in the house.

Taco Seasoning I

I'm so glad to find this recipe. I can not eat wheat and so many of the mixes bought in the store have flour (wheat) in them. Thank you. This has great flavor and I like the idea that I can adjust the seasonings to my family's tastes.

Apple Crisp III

I love this recipe - so simple and soooo good. We have several apple trees out back of the house and so many apples. Have been making pies, juice, jelly, so nice to have something really simple to make for a change. Thanks for the recipe.

White Sauce

I have used this recipe for many years (about 50) and I learned how to make it from my mother, so it's been our family for a long time. I make a thinner sauce sometimes and use it for a cream soup base. It's a recipe that every child needs to learn :)

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

I was looking for a dessert and didn't have a lot of ingredients on hand - but I had all for this recipe. The best chocolate pudding I've ever had - I don't think I'll ever use a mix again. I had one banana so I made slices and divided it between the four servings. Thanks for sharing

Oatmeal Soda Bread

My son made this for his International Business class. It was a big hit. The instructor said that it was exactly as he remembered, when he was in Irland. He made it exactly as the recipe read. I will be keeping this one in my favorite file.

Italian Easter Pizza

This is the same recipe that was given to me when I was a newly wed living in the old Italian neighborhood in Chicago by by landlady. It is out of this world good - and is one of my favorite comfort foods. I love it best cold. Glad to find this recipe again.

Scalloped Potatoes II

This is great - my mother would make potatoes this way - the only thing that I did was add thinly sliced onions on each potato layer. Tastes really good reheated.
