Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2015
This is the easiest and most wonderful recipe for ribs. I made them with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and served them with risotto and steamed broccoli. Thanks for sharing this simple and comforting recipe!

Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Bacon Cookies

These are incredible! I didn't change a thing and neither should you. This will be my go-to chocolate chocolate chip cookie recipe as well. My little ones already requested it with mint chocolate chips! Thanks for sharing this true keeper of a recipe.

Mrs. Fields Cookie Recipe II

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
These were a huge hit for Valentine's day- fabulous cookie. Crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside when baked for 9 minutes. I used about 1 Tbs per cookie and it made 119 cookies. Took a long time- I bake one tray at a time- but completely worth the end result. Used a blender for the oatmeal and it worked out fine. You will not be disappointed, but Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies is still our family favorite.

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
I have to say, for the minimal ingredients and speedy amount of time it took to throw this together, it's a true keeper. I added parmesan cheese and garlic powder to the breadcrumbs and baked 30 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe.

Very Chocolate Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
This is the first recipe I've tried with my new ice cream maker and it turned out delicious!!!!! It was soft-serve consistency after churning for 25 minutes and after 3 hours in the freezer, it is the consistency of store bought. Wow. That's all I can say, is WOW. I followed the recipe exactly as written except I cooled the first part down in an ice bath before cooling in the fridge. I will make this again and again...oh, and I used a chopped up Hershey bar since I had no fine chocolate...didn't think chocolate chips would do. Okay, okay, one more thing- I also poured it through a strainer after heating and I'm glad I did because I was able to capture some egg-type chunks. Thanks for a great go-to recipe! The kids and hubby loved it...

Baked Whole Cauliflower

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
Holy moly! This is fabulous. I grew up on fried cauliflower and the taste is so similar! I steamed whole for 20 minutes and then brushed with butter...sprinkled on the bread crumbs and baked as stated. Thank you for a wonderful recipe!

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I am thrilled to bits with this recipe! Granted, I don't have an ice cream maker...but it's been in my freezer for 4 hours and it was setting up nicely. I did have to stir up the chips again because they sunk but that's not a problem...I'm happy to be making this without an ice cream maker! I used a glass dish for the first 4 hours and now transferred it to two plastic containers...it will be gone soon enough and I'm nervous to freeze glass. The taste is amazing, which is why I'm rating it before it's completely set...thank you for a great tasting recipe I've made completely organic!

Laura's Lemon Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
These didn't have a whole lot of flavor...need to add much more seasoning. I did enjoy the crispness of the potatoes and would make again with modifications.

Lemon Easter Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
What a great bread! I completely stumbled upon this recipe by accident and it looked simple enough so I decided to use up a packet of pistachio pudding mix...wow! A nice, light texture and not sweet at all...delicious warm out of the oven with a little butter. I'm looking forward to trying it again with the lemon once I get to the grocery store. Thanks for sharing!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Words cannot describe the deliciousness of this cookie! I followed the recipe to a T but placed the cinnamon and sugar in a ziploc and shook it with one cookie in it at a time. They are picture perfect and amazing! They looked underdone but I followed the recipe and only baked them for 8 minutes. Thank you for sharing this fabulous recipe!

Mondi's Super Simple Chicken

Not dry at all but sadly, not much flavor either. I think it will be good with extra seasonings...I'm sorry but it was bland as-is.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Definite keeper! I subbed 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce and cut back on the sugar by about 1/2 cup. It made one large loaf, 6 mini loaves and 24 mini muffins. SO easy, super moist and definitely delicious! Can't wait to bring them to work tomorrow and also give out to neighbors! Oh, and I would probably cut back on more of the oil and the sugar without missing it...once I sprinkle a little bit of confectioner's sugar on them, they'll be perfect! Thanks for a fabulous recipe!

Where has this dip been all my life??? We absolutely loved it! Somehow, it reminded me of the Chicken Wing Dip we also love...guess it's the heat. You HAVE to make this...it's a cinch, too.

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Quite yummy! I served it plain and it had a wonderful banana-e flavor. I'm still looking for the "best" banana cake but this one is very good. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.

12-Hour Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I have to say this was pretty good and, if nothing else, offers you base ideas for the makings of a great salad. I used red peppers instead of green and used a little bit less sugar than recommended, but the dressing was still too sweet. I would make it again and tweak the dressing to taste...I'm really glad I tried this one!

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This was a really good recipe! I followed the recommendation and used 3/4 whole wheat flour and I used butter instead of margarine just as personal preference and I was impressed with the results. We used it for sandwiches...I thought it was a little dry (probably b/c of the whole wheat flour) but other than that it's a good bread recipe to use instead of eating store bought bread filled with additives and preservatives. This one is a keeper!

Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
I love pumpkin but this was disappointing...I'm always looking for a healthier version of foods we love but this just didn't cut it. Maybe it would have been better with homemade icing to add a little something special...I'm sorry.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
Tasty, original cookie. You do need the time for preparation of rolled oats and nuts as well as some type of food processor. I followed the recipe with one exception- I used some mini M&Ms instead of the grated chocolate. The oats really gave a nice crispy but chewy texture. This makes a lot of cookies which is nice b/c we like to bake off a half dozen after dinner sometimes so I was able to roll out a couple of dozen and freeze them. The oatmeal, chocolate chips, M&Ms and nuts really complimented one another. Oh, and mine baked for almost 12 minutes and I let them sit on a parchment lined cookie sheet for a few minutes before placing them on a cooling rack. One more thing- I made the dough in the AM and then baked the cookies after the kids were asleep. Thanks for sharing! UPDATE: I originally gave this 4 stars but had to come back and give it 5 stars because they really are fabulous- even when freezing them and then baking them. This is one of my absolute favorite cookies when I add the mini M&Ms.
