About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember the whole family making batches of Chili Sauce at the end of the summer. Blanching baskets of tomatoes, chopping peppers and onions and the smell of the sauce cooking brings back the fondest childhood memories.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies
These were a big hit at Christmas time. Exactly what I was looking for- flavorful, soft and chewy. I did use 1/2 whole wheat flour and only 3/4 cup sugar.

Baked Haddock
I try to make recipes exactly as stated but in this case I did not use any butter due to dietary restrictions. I only used 1/2 teaspoon salt as that is our preference. It was delicious.

Healthy Banana Cookies
These are very, very good and healthy! I used chunky applesauce instead of the oil and spiced rum instead of vanilla. I also added about 1/3 cup honey and another 1/2 cup of oatmeal, and left out the dates.
