Thai Chicken Pizza with Carrots and Cilantro

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
This was good, but could be better. Maybe I should have added some lime or sprouts or something??? I used the Peanut Sauce II recipe for the sauce, it was delicious, but I should have been more generous with it.

Peanut Sauce II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
This was really good. I followed the recipe using chunky peanut butter and loved the consistency. We had it as the base for Thai Chicken Pizza with Carrots and Cilantro.

Corned Beef and Cabbage II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
This was delicious. I did my 2 1/2 pound roast in an oven bag for 2 1/2 hours, and used apple juice instead of water and it turned out great. It did have a salty kick to it, but it wasn't over powering. We liked having the sauce from the brisket to serve with the cabbage also. I was worried about running out of water with the cabbage and apple, but didn't need to be, but we weren't huge fans of the mushy apple. I think it toned down the cabbage during cooking but should be left in the pot rather than served.

Garlic Dill New Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly and thought these were just alright - maybe they'd be better if I'd popped them in the oven as some others have suggested.

Blueberry Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
This was good, but a little dry. The batter is very thick - next time I'll double the milk. The strudel topping is delicious.

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This was a great marinade, very easy and flavorful. I didn't change anything. I'll agree with an earlier comment that the longer you cook it, the better it tastes.

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
This is a great recipe. I decrease the amount of herbs I use to 1/2 tsp each instead of a full tsp. I also cook it on a pizza stone. Yum!

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
Really good potatoes. Didn't have Steak seasoning, so I used Season Salt. I also boiled a whole clove of garlic with the potatoes and mashed it up with them. Omitted the sugar, as suggested.

Chile Verde II

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2006
This was so delicious. After reading the reviews I only added half the liquid, and I still thought I had too much. I also didn't have time to chop all the peppers, so I just blended them all with the hand blender and then put everything in the crockpot on low all day. The meat was so tender and my kitchen smelled awesome. Great recipe!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2006
I've been making this pudding for 2 years and we love it. I add cinnamon to the batter and then sprinkle some on top to dress it up a bit. I also think it's easier to beat the cream cheese with the sweetened condensed milk because it makes it easier to mix in with the rest of the ingredients.

Norwegian Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2006
These waffles smelled great while cooking and had great flavor, but weren't dense enough for me. If all that's being put on them is syrup they could hold up, but fruit is too heavy for them.
