Bearnaise Sauce II

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
Excellent! This was so good and just like a restaurant. I did take others suggestions and cooked the sauce at 30 sec a time then took out of the microwave to stir before cooking again for 30 sec. the texture was perfect, no lumps and I minced the onion so fine in my cuisinart that you hardly noticed them. I served this sauce over asparagus and with Blue Cheese Crsted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce. My DH raved about it and he is picky! Don't be afraid to try it you won't be sorry!

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
This was wonderful! I don't like blue cheese dressing so I wasn't sure if I would like this but the flavor of the blue cheese combined with the sauce was excellent. My husband didn't like the sauce however I substituted a red wine we had on hand instead of port just for cost sake. If I make the sauce again, I will use port. This will be made in our home again and again. It would also be a great presentation for dinner guests.

Pumpkin Cookies V

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Excellent! I added protein powder and dried cranberries so my daughter can have them at school for a snack. We also lightly drizzled the icing, you don't really need to drench them. Other than that, left them as written. These were so delicious. They will be a staple snack in our home.

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
These were really good. I took the advice of others and added some dried dill weed. I did make a mistake and processed the salmon in my cuisinart, I think it would be better flaked. I also used two eggs but I think others might be right that one would be sufficient as my husband thought they were too mushy inside. I also used a sauce for them from the Grilled Salmon Fillets with a Lemon, Taragon and Garlic sauce from this site. The sauce is fantastic and really enhances the dish.

Hot Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
My kids always want "brown noodles" so I was looking for an easy peanut sauce and this fits the bill. I did add some ginger and garlic but kept everything else the same. Great!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Didn't change anything. We have made another pumpkin pie recipe that only calls for milk on AR but this one is much better.

Waffles I

Perfect waffles. They are nice and crunchy on the outside but light inside. This is so much better than using bisquick and just as fast.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
Believe all of the reviews! I followed others who didn't use a bread maker. I proofed the yeast in 1/2 cup milk for 10 minutes. I then added the remaining milk and other ingredients and used my Kitchenaid to knead. Also, if rising takes a long time, use a glass bowl, not melamine or plastic. I tried a few times with both and it was always faster for me with a glass bowl. Enjoy, you will love these!

Mama's Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
Followed it to a "T" with the exception of adding a leftover garlic skin? you know the part that is left in the press? We just left it to float in the vinegar. My husband loved it and so did my picky 5 yr old.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
Wow! It really is like the restaurant kind without paying $9 for the whole dish. The best I have had so far by far. You won't be disappointed. I even made my own alfredo sauce instead of using aq canned variety. I always use Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce on here. You will love it too!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
I made these during the midst of a huge snowstorm so they didn't really rise at all. However, the flavor was great and I think when it is dry I will try again. I took others advice and didn't roll out, just slightly pounded out to a 1 inch circle then cut out rounds. I also used butter and not enough milk :( They were a tad crumbly but I'm sure they will be excellent next time.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
These are excellent cookies. My only complaint is the color. Mine aren't even close to looking like a nice brown or even rust color, just beige.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
We loved them! I too added 1 3/4 flour and 1 tsp baking soda like everyone recommended. I live above 6000 feet and they didn't deflate like most cookies do here. I also added dried cranberries and it really balanced the choc. chips nicely. My picky husband loved them and asked for more :)

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
This marinade is awesome! The balance of sweetness to spicy was great, although we like a bit more spice so I added some cayenne pepper. We have made this once with pork chops and once with chicken kabobs. I also ran out of apple juice the second time and used orange juice. It was great both ways but I prefer with apple juice. My sauce thickened just fine too. I gave it plenty of time though.

Wow! It is as good as the reviews state. I also made the orange marmalade dipping saw with horseradish, grey poupon and honey. It was just like the famous restaurant sauce and appetizer.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
I read the reviews and lessened the sugar as well as whipped the egg yolks until they were lighter in color. I also tempered the eggs and sugar instead of adding all at once and had no lumps at all. My daughter and I loved this. It was so easy and so much better than store bought.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
This meatloaf has become a staple in our home. I have made it at least 10 times. I would suggest for the bread, to use a cuisinart and get it to a nice almost rice like size. The big chunks of bread the first few times were not as good. if you don't have a chopper, maybe just shred as small as you can. Make sure when you mix everything together that you really squeeze it so there are not air pockets and really form a good loaf before putting in the pan. I have also found the cooking time does need to be extended some, we don't like pink meatloaf :) I added another 10 minutes. Enjoy!
