Pretty Chicken Marinade

This marinade is delicious! I think next time I'll cut back on the lemon just a wee bit but that's a personal preference. If you're using chicken tenders like I did, marinate for about 20-30 mins. An hour was much too long for mine and I think it contributed to some pieces being tough. This stuff is addicting! Thanks for a new flavor profile for boring ol' chicken! :o)

The Best Meatloaf

Denelle, we loved it too. Those that thought it was too bland are missing the beauty of it. Bland means you have a fabulous basic recipe to which you can add your favorite seasonings. As is, it made my guy really happy. Next time, we'll probably kick it up a notch. Thanks! :o)

Pork Rib Rub

This stuff is the shizz! I'll admit to cutting the amount of black pepper in half but left the cayenne as written. I used it on boneless ribs and it permeated the meat really well. Chicken is getting this rub next. Love, love, LOVE! :o)

Greek Island Chicken Shish Kebabs

I'll try to be as tactful as I can. The marinating time is too long. This affected the texture of it to the point that we found it inedible. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of adding fresh rosemary because I like it. It didn't help. The only flavor that came through was the acid. Even after it was grilled. I won't be making this ever again.

Grilled Asian Ginger Pork Chops

I honestly can't even give this 4 stars because I couldn't taste ANY of the ingredients. Everything I used was fresh including juicing an orange from my own trees and there was barely a hint of orange flavor and the ginger didn't come through at all. The pork was juicy but otherwise this was nothing special for us. Thanks for sharing though.

Bar Chicks - Blackened Chicken Sliders

I thought this was a cool idea! I used chicken tenders and made mini sliders. To get the best flavor out of the onions, you need to caramelize them slowly and until they're a rich brown. The chipotle was a nice addition too. Thanks for sharing. :o)

Pork Roast With The World's Best Pork Loin Rub

Since I always read a recipe through before I try it, I knew I didn't want the sugar. I might have added 1/2 of the amount if I were grilling but for roasting, no. I wasn't wanting pork candy. Other than that change I made my roast according to the directions and was quite happy with the outcome. :o)

Orange Chicken Stir-Fry

This is fabulous! The only change I had to make was using fresh ginger instead of ground. I think the amount of orange peel should be to each person's taste. For me, 1/2 tbs. was plenty but others may prefer the amount called for. Very customizable, quick, and easy. A definite re-do for me. Thank you! :o)

Japanese Restaurant Cucumber Salad

I reduced the servings to 2 and found it a little dry so I doubled up on the rice vinegar, sugar, and chile. Using the called for amount of sesame oil was too much, the flavor overpowering everything. Next time I'll just add a tsp. of that. Otherwise, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! :o)

French Onion Soup IX

This turned out pretty good but using all beef stock made it a bit too strong in beef flavor. It's onion soup after all and you want to taste that. I prefer a mix of chicken and beef stock but I still liked this. Thanks for sharing. :o)

Chipotle Chicken Salad

I enjoyed this quite a bit! I don't find that many uses for chipotle in adobo sauce so I was happy to come across this one. I love the smoky heat and the sharpness of the feta. I used it as a spread for toasted pita triangles. I'll use this recipe many times in the future. Thanks! :o)

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

This was pretty good for what it is. I rarely if ever slow cook meat but I wanted something cozy that day. And that's what this meal is, cozy. The leftovers were made into hash, and beef gravy to serve over mashed potatoes. I think that's the reason I liked it as much as I did. Nice leftovers! Thank you much! :o)

Black Salt Asparagus

I've had a jar of black sea salt languishing in my spice rack forever so right away I have to thank you for the only recipe I've ever seen that uses it. And it works! I never use my broiler and didn't feel like turning on the oven so I sauteed my asparagus in some Kerrygold butter and a little water until tender/crisp. Sprinkled on the black sea salt just before serving and really enjoyed the unique flavor of the salt with the asparagus. One thing though, once salted, you should eat it right away. The salt starts to liquefy and turn into a very unattractive mess. I really think its best use would be on cold or room temp foods. Thanks for this one! :o)

Acapulco Margarita Grouper

A couple of issues here. Please don't marinate your fish for 30 mins. in that much lime juice, it starts to turn into ceviche. The beautiful flavor of the marinade is lost if you just drizzle it on the fish, not to mention it gets into everything else on your plate. I would serve it as a dipping sauce and when I tried it that way tonight, it really complimented the pico de gallo and the fish. A really flavorful recipe but I prefer the changes I made. Btw, I tried it exactly as written before changing it up a bit. Thanks Bill! :o)

Lemon Rosemary Chex® Mix

I hate to be the Grinch today but I'm seriously miffed! Considering how nice it smelled cooking, I expected a lot of flavor. What I got was bland, bland, bland. No lemon, no rosemary flavor. At All. I ended up splashing it with Worcestshire and re-cooking it just so I wouldn't have to throw it out. General Mills, you've cost me some coin with these recipes and you let me down completely. :o(

Chex® Caramel-Chocolate Drizzles

I'm probably in the minority here but I HATE the microwave method of cooking this stuff. The caramel was never very fluid, stirring it was a nightmare, and much of the cereal was broken by the time I finished. My friends thought it was good but mentioned that it hurt their teeth to eat it. Not the reaction I was going for. I think I'll stick to making caramel corn. :o(

Grilled Pork Loin Chops

Let's get the hard part over first. The reduced sauce was too sweet and the cinnamon is too dominant. And that's AFTER I already cut it back to 1/8 of tsp. However, the pork was delicious and with a little reworking on the sauce, that would be delicious too. It almost tastes like an upscale, really interesting A1 Sauce. Just skip either the sugar or the honey and use only a sprinkle of cinnamon. I'm hanging on to this one! Thanks! :o)

Ginger Iced Tea

I honestly don't know if I like it or not. It's very peculiar tasting. Not bad exactly but not really good either. It's like the tea and ginger flavors cancel each other out. I appreciate the creativity though. :o)
