Seasoned Fan Potatoes

These were very good! They're a slightly different take on Hasselback Potatoes which I love. I wasn't in the mood for cheddar so I left that out but otherwise followed the recipe as written. Quicker than a loaded baked potato but certainly as tasty. :o)

Fabulous Fargozas

Fabulous! I made these to go with Ybor City Salad from this site and because of that, I didn't add the cheese since the salad has plenty. Due to pure laziness on my part, I used granulated onion and garlic which still worked out well and since I always have fresh rosemary, I replaced the dried with fresh. No doubt the recipe works as written but it can also take some changes and still be delicious. Gonna make these a LOT! Thanks bunches! :o)

Rempel Family Meatloaf

I tried this recipe in my never ending search for meatloaf that will slice neatly the next day. This did. I'll be honest now and say that after following the beef/crackers/egg ratio, I went off on my own, adding extra seasonings and leaving out the cheese. It made really yummy sandwiches today so thanks for that! :o)

Blackened Chicken

I thought the spice rub was excellent! The chicken was moist and tender, due to basting with the mayo sauce. I think the sauce needs to be made a couple hours ahead so the flavor ripens if you're going to use it for dipping. Ours was bland. Thanks for sharing! :o)

Ybor City Salad

YES! This is very similar to the Columbia restaurant's 1905 salad recipe. The dressing is what makes this so delicious. The only difference is that the restaurant uses garlic infused oil instead of minced fresh garlic. Completely fabulous! Sav, I love ya! :o)

Gazpacho IV

This is fabulous! The beef stock, balsamic, cumin and Worcestershire sauce added a depth of flavor usually missing in gazpacho. Nice job! :o)

White Sangria

I like this for the flexibility it offers. I used the recipe as a base and as such, I added our favorite fruits. We used oranges, peaches, and blueberries. Very pretty served over ice with a sprig of mint. Thanks for sharing. :o)

Baba Ghanoush

This was exactly what I was looking for. Good balance of flavors, good texture, and very nice spread on celery sticks. Decent snack if you're doing the low carb thing. I wish I wasn't but if you must, this makes it a bit easier. :o)

This worked awesomely for me. If that's even a word. Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I coulda ate this until I passed out and I REALLY wanted to! :o)

Jackie's Special Meatloaf

Man, it was nice to find a meatloaf recipe that uses Panko although normally I wouldn't use it in this type of preparation since it's a bit on the expensive side. Panko made it kinda fluffy and lighter than your typical meatloaf. I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to making this again. Oh and FYI, I don't even like meatloaf. :o)

Dumplings

Apple Pie Muffins

I haven't tasted these because I was baking them as a gift but if the way they look is any indication, and I think it is, they will be a big hit! They smelled fabulous, rose beautifully, and looked amazing. Honestly, my baking skills are minimal and these made me look like a pro! I'll review them again after the recipients give their opinion. I never take this kind of baking leap of faith but I'm betting this was a darn good first time! :o) Update~ These were worth the leap! WOOT! :o)

Slow Cooker Bolognese

This is a very good, authentic recipe that's hard to mess up. I think next time though, I'll use Italian sausage instead of the ground beef just because we prefer the seasoning used in sausage. Thanks! :o)

Peppy's Pita Bread

Although this recipe didn't work very well for me, I'm giving it 5 stars because I'm certain the failure was mine. These didn't puff much and the outer edges were like concrete. The dough did come together quickly and easily and the flavor was nice, though. I'd try it again but I'm not sure what I did wrong the first time. :o)

Taco Seasoning III

I reduced this recipe and had no problem with it being too hot. I admit that I added aspects of other recipes such as paprika and beef stock instead of water and we loved it! If an ingredient seems too extreme for you then it probably is! Adjust to your tolerance. A recipe is only a guide and shouldn't replace common sense. Wonderful recipe and thanks for sharing. :o)

Smoky Grilled Pork Chops

My better half and I have been trying grilled pork chop recipes lately and those that we've tried have all been absolutely delicious but this is our current fave. Juicy, smoky, and tender. We seared them before continuing with the recipe and I certainly recommend that step. Adds another layer of flavor to an already flavorful recipe. :o)
