Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
This is such an easy, flavorful recipe. My husband is from the south, and I never made greens until I found this recipe. He was so impressed! He said it trumped his momma's! I'm always looking to do that!

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I didn't think this was possible, but here it is! This was a very good and super easy for Peanut Brittle. I think the only thing I did wrong was grease the cookie sheet too much. I thought it would need it, because of all the sugar and corn syrup, but it doesn't. I won't use as much the next time around. I had to wipe off the brittle once it hardened. An unecessary step.

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
This is such a fresh, and filling tuna sanwich filling. At first when I saw there were apples, and nuts in it I was skeptical, but it is so delicious! You have to try this! This will be on my menu during the warmer months, especially during Lent!!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
I tried this recipe when I bought a professional Belgian Waffle maker, and boy was I pleased. My husbnad who is normally not a waffle eater had two big pieces! This is the best waffle recipe ever. What I love about it is that is asks for ingredients that you normally have on hand! This is a keeper!

Classy Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
I have never had green bean casserole. I tried this recipe, and it was tasty, but I noticed it wasn't the classic recipe. It doesn't have the cream of mushroom soup the other recipes call for. I think I will try the classic recipes and compare them with this one. This recipe was delicious though, everyone seemed to like it. Not much left over. Isn't that what counts on Thanksgiving?

Pecan Tassies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
My sister is the only one in the family who absolutely loves pecan pie. I make it especially for her every Thanksgiving. This was a great way to make individual pecan tarts without having to make a whole pie. And I think they go faster because of the bite size pieces. All in all it was a hit. I would make this again!

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
I made this for Thanksgiving. My dad loves cranberry sauce, and he gave this recipe his approval. He loved it. He said that it reminded him of the cranberry sauce his mom used to make. I, myself never liked cranberry sauce, but this one I found very tasty! I would definitely make this again. Thanks!

Sweet and Gooey Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
This chicken recipe came out delicious. I used a big ziplock bag to marinate the chicken instead of a casserole dish. I made the marinade the night before and put the chicken in the ziplock bag and made sure the chicken was in one single layer and put in the fridge overnight. Then in the morning before I went to work, I flipped the bag over to coat the other side and let that marinate while I was at work, and cooked it when I got home. I put the chicken and the marinade in a casserole dish and stuck it in the oven as directed. It was so good! Full of flavor! I'm making it again with full chicken legs! Thank you for this delicious recipe!

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
My mom used to make this for my sister and I while growing up, and I haven't since leaving the house. This recipe reminded me of my mom's recipe, it's delicious. My husband never had stuffed peppers and he liked them as well. I always use ground turkey instead of ground beef (to cut down on fat and calories) and it was terrific. I would definitely make this again!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
I loved this recipe. I was afraid that it would be too sweet, but it wasn't, it was actually quite light. I didn't serve syrup with these pancakes at all. I just topped them off with butter and whipped cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Delicious!

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
This is such a delicious recipe! When I was in junior high school we were served granola snacks, that I loved, and have been looking for a recipe similar to that for years! I'm glad I found this one! I took other people's suggestions and used 2/3 cup honey instead of corn syrup, 2/3 cup peanut butter, 2/3 cup brown sugar, and I added 1/2 cup of chopped pecans, and 1/4 cup shredded coconut. My husband loved it, between the two of us, this only lasted about 3 days! I would definitely make this again!! Thank you!

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2007
I couldn't believe this recipe was given a 5 star rating until I tasted it. It lives up to it's rating. I used hot and sweet italian turkey sausage.I took advice from others and added onion, orzo, potato and more beef broth. My husband and I both loved it. This recipe is both delicious and nutritious! Perfect for fall!

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2007
These cookies are delicious! I used 1/2 cup of butter flavored shortening and 1/4 cup of butter. I took others advice and used brown sugar instead of white. They were perfect! I would certainly make these again and again!
