About this Cook
I had a catering business in Nova Scotia for 10 years and then moved to Windsor becoming employed in the Food and Beverage Industry
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything that my guests will enjoy from the sinple soups to the most decadent desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas time making all mom's favorites and then making up cookie plates to take to our dear retired Senior Friends or those that are under the weather during the holiday season.
My cooking triumphs
Having catered to a banquet for 700 veterans at a reunion.
My cooking tragedies
the first time I made tea biscuits I was not aware that you were not to roll the dough as you do pie crust. Hence My biscuits were like gingersnaps - Hard as rock and as thin as tissue. Now over the years They are mile high. Dear friends that were there the first time I made them never let me forget the disaster

White Chocolate Blueberry Cheesecake
With the holiday season fast approaching I made this but instead of blueberries I used fresh cranberries that I made into cranberry sauce. Once the sauce chilled I then followed directions as with the blueberries. When serving I made a Cranbery Coulis and served over the top. A coulis is the sauce pureed in a blender to form a thick syrup. Then I pased it through a colander and voila the Cranberry Colis. It was a hugh success.

Zucchini Relish
I made this yesterday but I let the zucchini rest prior to makeing to rid it of most of the water. I kicked it up a notch bu adding red and green peppers diced along with thinly sliced red onion. It added colour as well as enhanced the taste. I sampled this AM to ensure it was OK to serve for a BBQ this evening and for me it is a go Hopefully all will enjoy. Don't be afraid the enhance recipes It is amazing what you come up with
