I made this today and its just awesome. I tried various gluten free cakes, but it always taste like sand. This one is sooo different, smooth and creamy, more a dessert than a cake and will be nice with cream, ice cream or custard. I used 200 grams of dark chocolate and melt it together with 3 T butter. I also grind the beans in my thermomix until very fine and then add the sugar, grind it again and then add the eggs one at a time.
Next time round ( and there will definitely be more than one next time) I will use less chocolate - maybe 150g - 75g dark chocolate and 75g normal or white chocolate and leave out the sugar. The cake was just a bit too sweet for me.
I will keep this as my secret recipe and will not give the secret ingredient the garbanzo beans away. What I also like about this recipe is the fact that it uses less eggs than other gluten free cake recipes.
This is definitely a keeper.
