Spicy Mac and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
Really surprised how good this is! I love making soups and usually make soup in the crock pot with lots of goodies and that means lots of chopping! Not this time! I did makes some additions such as diced smoked sausage and a can of corn and I sauteed an onion with the sausage. Added lots more milk and a packet of dry chicken gravey mix. I often add this to soup for flavor and gives it some body. I will be making this again! Thanks!

I made this with a dark chocolate cake mix in a bunt pan. Turned our great but the filling is not what I expected. The consistantry was strange. Too eggy. I added chocolate chips. Needs to be cold.

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
OMG!!! This is SOOOOO good! I took the advise of others and doubled the hamburger and taco seasoning. To the cheese/soup mixture I added, an 8oz block of cream cheese, cubed, corn, black beans and sliced black olives and used 2 cups of cheese. I slo-cooked it 2 hours on low. We put shredded lettuce on top with salsa & sour cream. I had jalopeno ranch dressing on mine. So very good and like others said, it is hard to stop tasting! Will definatly make this again! Cant wait for leftovers tonight for dinner!

Lloyd's Healthy Chicken Zoopa

I love to make soups and this is the best chicken soup ever! So many good veggies make this extra special and so full of flavor! I made my own chicken broth so I had extra which made the soup better. The spinach and the leek should not to be left out! I will try this in the croc-pot sometime with adding the chicken, spinich and pre-cooked noodles later. I actually made this for my boyfriend's daughter's Birthday dinner with salad and crusty bread. She loves soup and she had 2 helpings! We wre not stuffed so we had room for her Birthday cake and ice cream! Looking forward to my lunch today of left-over hot soup!

This is so good for a change! Smelled so good when I came home from work. I added a 1/2 lb. of browned hamburger. I used a 28oz. can of diced tomatoes and crushed tomatoes and 1 6oz can of paste. Less salt and a sprinkling of sugar. This cooked all day on low. I mixed this with a box of cooked rigatoni. So good!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
This lives up to all the great reviews! I made this as part of the refreshments for a Mason's Lodge meeting and they all loved it. I doubled the topping and added dried cranberries. I made this a day ahead and popped it in the oven when I got home from work and it was still warm for after the meeting. Topped it with vanilla ice cream. Served it with cheese and pretzels, apple cider and coffee. This is a keeper!

Crazy Dipped Pretzel Rods

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
This was my first time making coated pretzels but I am an experianced cook. The semi-sweet chips melted fine but I tried butterscotch and white chocolate chips and they just clumped up! Bummer! Big mess! Maybe I needed more shortening? The semi-sweet chocolate was great and turned out well. I took the suggestion of other reviewers and used a tall glass for melting and dipping. I used orange pumpkin sprinkles and it looked great! These were being sold at a fund raiser food stand during a fall parade. I always bake cookies for this but wanted to try something different. Will try again using melting chocolate.

I love making soups but this was my first time making mushroom soup. I read many recipes and made this one to the T but added 3 potatoes, 4 small home grown carrots, 2 cups half & half and extra chicken broth and some dill weed. This was very good and simple to make. I served it with a loaded spinich salad. Great Sunday evening supper! This is a keeper! Thanks!

Peaches 'N Cream Pie

This is absolutly awesome! I followed the recipe to the T and it turned out great! I baked it in my Pampered Chef stoneware deep dish pan. I'm thinking of trying this with fresh peaches and blueberries as they will be fresh in my area soon. Then I will use Peach Schwnaaps in place of the syrup. This is a real keeper! Thanks!

Easter Meat Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
I have been researching Italian Easter Meat Pie since I saw it being made by the Cake Boss and his family! It looked soooo goood! I have read many recipes and learned how many different versions there are. I used this one as a basis. I halfed the recipe for 2 with lots of leftovers! I used a bottom crust only and that was a pizza dough placed in my Pampered Chef stone deep dish pie pan, prebaked for 5 minutes. I used 15 oz of riccotta, 3 eggs, 1/2 lb. cappacola, 1/4 lb. hard salami, a big handful of pepperoni, chopped, 4 hard cooked eggs, chopped, 1 cup mozzarela cheese, 1/4 lb. provalone and a good shake or 2 of parmesan cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. This was so good and it will become an Easter weekend tradition for us, even though i am Irish!! I served this with a Cesar Salad.

Teriyaki and Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
This was a defreakinglious meal!! I marinated my chicken in some teriyaki sauce, garlic & ginger all day in a zip lock bag. I used a lot less peppers. I went to the salad bar and they had nice strips of green, yellow , orange and red peppers and I grabed a few heaping tongs full and this was much cheper and we would not have liked 3 whole peppers in this dish. I did add a bag of frozen sugar peas. I added some ginger and just a little curry. These were the only changes I made and this was just awsome!! Will make this again for sure. Such a nice change.

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
This is Sooo Gooood! I did change it up a bit but this was a great beginning! I used frozen Texas Toast, thawed. I spread ricotta cheese on one slice, topped with pepperoni and then shredded mozzarella, topped it with a nother slice of toast. Baked at 375 for 7 minutes. Dipped in pizza sauce. I will be trying this with my own garlic bread also. A bit more budget friendly. I made these the night before so dinner was ready to pop in the oven. This is a keeper! Nice change!

I changed this a bit by adding a pound of hamburger browned with some taco seasoning and added a can of corn and some salsa. For the bottom crust I used flour tortillias and topped it with crushed nacho chips. I kept all the other ingredidents the same. I made this the night before and popped it in the oven after work the next day.. It was SOOOOO good! We had this with a bit of sour cream and salsa on top and few spoons of my thick chili on the side. This is a keeper! Thanks!

This cake is just awsome! It really is better made a day ahead, very moist. I made mine in an angel food cake pan following the exact directions. I frosted it with my favorite Fluffy Peanut Butter frosting from the site. My boyfriend's son asked for this for his birthday cake and I'm really glad I tried this cake! Liked by all!

This is 5 star worthy after making some additions and changes as advised by other reviewers. I used a 32 oz. bag of potatoes, doubled the butter & flour, an 8oz. block of creamed cheese, a cup and a half of swiss and added cheddar cheese also, dill weed, onion powder, garlic, lots of black pepper, mixed the cooked broccoli into the potatoes and topped it all with a bag of dried onions. VERY good! Makes alot and will be great as leftovers. Will be making this again soon for a birthday dinner. Thanks for the basics!

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
This is just awesome and so easy! I made a few changes and used some ideas from other reviewers. I used 2 lbs. of b/s chicken tenders. 1 can of mushroom soup and 2 cans of cheese soup and I added a pack of dry Italian dressing mix to the soups. This cooked all day while I was at work. My boyfriend added a bag of frozen stir fry veggies and a can of mushrooms when he got home from work and right before I got home he added the sour cream. The house smelled sooo good! We had this over rice. I added the leftover rice to the chicken and I think tonight I will chop up the chicken a bit and thin it a bit with milk and eat it like soup with some fresh baked pita chips. This is a keeper!
