Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
Made this with what I had in my pantry and fridge: browned sausage (turkey Italian) in EVOO, added red pepper flakes and minced garlic, added chicken broth and diced tomatoes, and finished with white beans and a frozen square of spinach. SOOO good!!

Creamy Spinach Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
Since I didn't have half/half on hand, I used milk. It turned out a little thin, so I added a can of cream of potato soup at the end. Not the healthiest, but oh, my gosh, it turned out super yummy. The potato taste was actually really good. I also used fresh spinach, and it was great. Thanks for the recipe!

Simple Syrup

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I added about a teaspoon of vanilla extract after it cooled a bit, and I use it to put in my coffee. Tastes like the vanilla syrup used in coffee shops--fabulous!

High Protein Peanut Butter Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
YUM!! I am on the Daniel Fast right now (can't eat sugar, among other things), so this recipe was exactly what I needed. I used cocoa instead of the protein powder (about 2 Tablespoons). Don't leave out the flax seeds--they add a fantastic crunch. Oh, and this recipe is SUPER easy. Thanks, Fit&Healthy Mom!

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
The cucumber sauce was so good; I could probably eat it with a spoon! I would like to try using lamb next time. I used flat bread, and it worked great. I also cubed the cucumber as someone else suggested.

Teena's Spicy Pesto Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Fantastic! I used the "Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto" recipe for the pesto (but I modified it to substitute half of the parm. cheese with Romano and substitute the Brazil nuts with all pine nuts). I used Romano cheese in addition to the parmasan cheese, and it was so delicious! Thanks for the recipe; I will most definitely use it again!

Boston Iced Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
Easy and delicious. I found that this tea tastes much better (and sweeter) after sitting for a few hours in the fridge. So, for those of you who like sweet tea, I would say to hesitate before adding more sugar until the tea sits for a while. My husband doesn't like tea, but he liked this!

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Delicious! I didn't have fresh basil to use, so I used dried basil, and it was still fantastic! Thanks so much for a great and super easy recipe.

Pita Chips

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
Easy, yummy, healthier than store-bought, and you can try all sorts of different herb mixtures. I will never look at Pita the same way again. (I didn't have Chervil, so I omitted it, and they were still delicious.)
