Egg in a Boat

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
I have been making this for my kids for 20 years. We call them "Eggs in a Frame" Dont forget to butter the center you cut out and grill that as well. If you cant find a cookie or donut cutter, a jar lid will work fine. I have even scrambled the egg before I put it in the frame for one of my fussy kids who doesnt like the egg "looking" at her. Great for sleep overs. My eldest daughter makes them in college all the time.

Diabetic Dog Treats

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
I boiled chicken necks, deboned and ground the meat in processor (2 cups ground chicken) then followed the recipe using the chicken instead of liver. Worked great! my DD loved them! I saved the broth and made homemade milkbone treats too.

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I make this, but my version is not as rich. First I use 2 cups graham cracker crumbs and put it into a 13 x 9 pan. I use a 12 oz tub of lite frozen topping with low fat cream cheese and OMIT the sweetened condensed milk all together. I like to crush 2 Heath toffy bars and sprinkle one with the pecan center and one on top, but you could skip that too. This version is less rich and freezes to serving in 2-3 hrs. I also microwave the caramel just a few seconds to make it easier to drizzle. This is great for bridal showers and special meals.

Mock Angel Food Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
I use this recipe all the time for wedding cakes when requested. This is not an angel food cake it is a MOCK angel food cake, thus it is heavier almost sponge like. This recipe will fill what we call a 1/2 sheet cake pan and will serve 40-58 depending on how large your portions are. Half this for standard 13x9 pan. This is the best recipe for Mock angel food cake I have found. TRY IT!
