Best London Broil Ever!

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
I had qualms about this, thinking it seemed too easy, but it is just that! I put the meat in the oven frozen and it only took an extra 30 minutes. I've made it twice now, this time I used thick cut sirloin steaks and it still turned out shreddy. Ate it over salted potatoes from this site, added a little butter to make a somewhat mashed consistancy. I add extra veggies, this time I put celery and onion on before the canned tomatoes. Bell peppers next time, methinks!! This recipe will replace swiss steak for us! And I 've used a 9x13 pan both times with foil, no fancy roasting pan :)

French Onion Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
I thought it lacked something, I added white wine and it made it a 5 star recipe. I tripled the recipe and to that I put in a cup of the wine. Will make again, we put our swiss bread on the bottom and then poured the soup on top. I also added salt to my own tastes :)

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
Very good. I used a red bell pepper and I also spread some shredded hash brown potatoes on top (I put them in a bag with butter before so they were able to crisp when they cooked and not burn). Very filling!

Chili-Flavored Turkey Stew With Hominy and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2007
This is the frickin bomb! I used green onions instead, a 1 small yellow bell pepper, 4 cups of chicken broth, doubled the hominy, and omitted the salt and pepper. I am a salty girl and I can honestly say adding it at the end would have been too much, even for me. It was spicy enough, too, so no pepper either. I followed the cooking directions to a "t". Dude, yum!
