Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork

Some foks complained about lack of seasoning so I just dumped them into the sauce. That solved that problem and how. Then they seemed overwhelming, especially the rosemary. Won't make again

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

This makes a great wrap filling. It does make a ton so that is a good way to serve it on day two. As with any wrap one can add other stuff like lettuce, sour cream, tomato,etc. I'm sure the hotness of the salsa ingredient is also a metter of taste

Springtime Strawberry Bars

Reminded me of eating a scone with jam when warm. I added a spoonful or so more jam to make sure I covered the edges. Also added a bit more flour to the topping to make it crumble. It's such a simple receipe tweaking to taste is easy.

Triple-Cheese Macaroni

I accidentally used ground mustard instead of prepared and my family loved it! Had a real zing to it. I think 2 tablespoons of ground ( equivalent to 6 Tbs prepared) was a little much for my tastes but adjust to taste for a treat. Always cook mac very al dente as it cooks more in the oven.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

This is my go-to receipe for gatherings. Rather than just dump in a entire cup of sour cream go slow, you can always add more. A pinch of garlic powder is nice. Love the onion!

Lemon Zucchini Drops

I didn't have a lemon so subbed lemon extract. Using a fine grater my zucchini looked much like applesauce. I added a little more flour because the batter was more like a cake mix. It's all about the grater folks.

Hot Bean Dip

Followed the ingredients except heated it in a crockpot. I use this for bean burritos. You can cut back on the sour cream to make it firmer for your tortilla. I like to put a second layer of coleslaw on top for a crunch. Great for a buffet!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Was a great opportunity to use leftover chicken for me. Chopped up a cup or two. I also used less butter to save a couple calories. Next time I will try adding some veggies as others have suggested.

Apple Crisp III

I have been searching for a great apple crisp w/out oatmeal for a long time. I used gravenstein apples from my yard, substituted OJ for the water, and used 1/2 brown and half white sugar per other recommendations. PERFECT!

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

With the current chocolate bar price wars I decided to just chop up 3 large milk chocolate cadberry bars in place of the chips,yum! I agree with "Good Eats" Alton Brown, the butter flavor shortening makes a better cookie than butter.

Pork, Broccoli and Rice Casserole

Really yummy and reheats well. I made a few simple changes. Substituted salt for the curry, used a can of cream of chicken and a can of cream of mushroom soup. I also used a 14 oz bag of broccoli flowerettes and a couple handfuls of shredded mexican cheese stirred in. The next day I added a little milk to the leftovers before I microwaved them. It seemed even better the second day!
