Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
Yum! I had a craving for pretzels and cheese, and this hit the spot. I did add a few drops of hot sauce to give it a little kick.

Elegant Orzo with Wilted Spinach and Pine Nuts

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Not nearly as good as I hoped....we love balsamic in everything, but for some reason the flavors just did not meld like I'd hoped. :(

Curry-Coconut Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Um, just ok from a curry-lover...I used a whole can of coconut milk so I wouldn't waste any. I think it was the texture of the shrimp that threw us off. We much prefer the chicken curry on this website, texture-wise.

Traditional Gyro Meat

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Very tasty! Even after throwing it in the food processor, the texture was a little "air-ier" than the meat you'd get at a gyro place, but that could be a result of my technique, or the density/quality of their meat. Beats any gyro we could get around here, so I won't complain.

Cake Batter Ice Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
I managed to make this ice cream like my "local creamery" by trial & error...I don't have an ice cream maker, so I put the mixture in a covered glass casserole dish in the freezer, whisking every 30 minutes until set up. The first day it was ok...a little soft & not exactly tasting as rich as the "creamery's." We left the rest in the freezer overnight, which resulted in a really hard lump. 60 seconds in the microwave resulted in a creamy, delicious treat that's a mirror image of what you'd buy at the mall. With my favorite mix-ins, I won't be spending $4.95 on the same thing anytime soon. Thanks for sharing!

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
Very good overall. I think I made the topping too thick on top of the fish, so when I checked for doneness underneath the topping, it kept looking underdone when the rest of the fish was done. Next time I will bake it for a few minutes and then add the topping. Thanks for the recipe!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
Awesome recipe! I like to shred the chicken as a personal preference. I use Penzys sweet curry powder, and substitute honey for the sugar which gives it the something extra people might be looking for in this recipe.

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
My husband loves this recipe. Every time I ask him what I should make for dinner that week, he mentions "that chicken and cornbread dish you make." Thanks for sharing!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Fantastic! I've made this several times and always get great results. I shared the recipe with my mom and she loves it too! I don't love microwaved leftover chicken so I usually make chicken salad with the leftovers.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
Awesome chicken recipe! I usually use legs, cut the skin off, and place them upside down in the pan that already has the sauce in it. Made it many times with no complaints!

Turkey Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
Great way to use leftover turkey! I added a carrot & potato chopped while the rice was simmering. I also substituted skim milk for the half & half and it was still creamy enough for us.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
Someone I know used to work at the cinnamon roll place at the mall, and they add a drop of lemon extract to the frosting as well. Try it, it will taste even more authentic!
