Followed the recipe exactly except I separated the eggs and used the yolks in the pudding and made meringue from the whites. The whole family loved it. Thanks

Broccoli Ham Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2013
I have made this a few times for my family. It is a great way to use up left over ham. I use a mixture of velvetta and cheddar cheese and season the cheese sauce with pepper and garlic and I always use fresh steamed broccoli instead of frozen.

I have made this several times. My family loves it. The only changes I made were that I use velvetta cheese, country hashbrowns, and omit the french fried onions(family does not like them). Thanks for the great recipe!!!

BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
Good recipe with a few changes. I have a big family so I used 2 1/2 pounds of meat, used ketchup and BBQ sauce in the meatloaf and also about a tablespoon of hot sauce and omitted the chili powder. I added green pepper to the onion/garlic saute. After wrapping with the bacon I made a topping mixture of BBQ sauce, ketchup, honey and Brown sugar which I rubbed over the top before baking. Turned out awesome. I would have given this 5 stars but you needed some tweeks to make it a really great meatloaf.

Super Duper Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
Growing up we called these Chocolate Crinkles. I had an Aunt that made them for family gatherings. I am so happy I found this recipe. These are absolutely fabulous and taste just like I remember. Some of the reviews said that these were dry, they won't be if you do not overcook them. Do not overcook these cookies, they should be lightly crisp around the edges and soft and gooey inside. I timed them at exactly 7 minutes in my convection oven, then let them set for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet before removing. I did not change a thing in the recipe!!!!

Easter Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
Made this this morning. I followed the recipe except I baked the hash browns with some butter, salt, pepper green pepper and onion before adding the bacon, eggs and cheese. I also added salt, pepper and garlic powder to the eggs before cooking. I am from the south and was always taught you should season everything. This is a great recipe, I would have given it five stars had it not needed so many tweaks and it had stated that the Hash Browns should be cooked first which I think confused a lot of people and ruined a lot of peoples first attempts at this.

Broccoli Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
I have made a recipe similar to this for the last 5 years for thanksgiving. My family does not like Green Bean Casserole so this has become the alternative. I use velvetta cheese, fresh broccoli, and cream of celery soup, I omit the bacon (personal taste) and also add 1 cup of sour cream. Even my picky ten year old eats it!

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
Good Recipe, I browned the chicken in a skillet and then baked it for 35 minutes on 375, I also used real pressed garlic in the milk and egg mixture instead of garlic powder in the flour mixture, made garlic and sour cream mashed potatoes and reserved the drippings to make a country gravy. Excellent!!!!
