Easy Tilapia with Wine and Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
I used a can of tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano. Served over egg noodles. Really simple, and tasted OK, but really watery. I won't rush to make again

This was good, but the cookie dough did not taste like cookie dough. I may use store bought cookie dough if I make again

Pork Chops Deluxe

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
I used white wine instead of water for deglazing. This was OK. We all liked it, but wouldn't rush to make it again. If I do, I would make more than 3 cups rice

Rainbow Clown Cake

Everyone loved this at my son's 1st b-day party. It was a little extra work, but not too bad, and my 5 year old helped. I followed the guide from another reviewer. R 18 Y 12 G 12, B 12 drop food coloring. I skipped O 12 Y and 4R and P 9 R 6 B.

Swiss Steak Quick and Easy

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Everyone loved this! I only used 2 cube steaks, and left out mushrooms. Used onion powder instead of onion. Ended up simmering for maybe 45-50 minutes because I got distracted. ETA: I made a second time with only one can of stewed tomatoes, and one diced. Added some celery flakes and fresh chopped green pepper. The pepper was not as tender as hoped (put in with the meat and sauteed) but it definitely helped reduce the salty taste and was still well received!

Beef Tips

I dumped it all in the crock pot. It was OK. I will try again with higher quality meat (we used some given to us that was not our usual). Served over brown rice. I left out salt

Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
I used ground turkey, only 1/2 c breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup parm cheese, and a chunky ragu pasta sauce w/o the crushed tomatoes or puree. Made smaller meatballs (got about 33) and they cooked for about 5.5 hrs on low. Served on wheat submarine rolls with mozzarella cheese and it was loved by all!

Italian Cheese Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
used my usual pork chops and spooned the cheese mix over the top then put another layer of pork chops. Wanted to use up mozz cheese, so I added a little grated parm and some italian seasoning. about 1/4-1/2 tsp dried thyme and some dried parsley. Baked about 20-25 min but it needed a little longer. Great!

Roasted Garlic Zucchini and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
I used leftover yellow squash skins and seeds after making baby food, can of tomatoes, partially cooked baby carrots, and some fresh spinach with minced onion, garlic powder, and no salt. Put it in the oven with pork cops at 375 just to warm it up for maybe 10 min. Forgot the parm cheese and basil, still great!

Shredded Beef Chimichangas

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
I cooked meat in the crock for 11 hours on low. Left out the 1/4 c water, but it was still too liquid-y, even after the meat sat in the fridge overnight. Put cheese in with meat in tortilla.

Caribbean Fruity Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2011
My husband really liked this. I thought it was OK, just not worth the effort it took to dice everything. I used it over some grilled chicken and rice. It made for a healthy light dinner but I won't be running to make it again.

Old Bay® Shrimp Fest

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
I halved recipe and used heaping quarter cup old bay and only little over 1 tsp garlic salt. It was way too much salt. Kept water the same but full can of beer. Added a quartered lemon, Left out onion. Used defrosted niblets. I added corn and sausage at same time and cooked 7 min--I think that was too much cook time for those. Will make again with few modifications
