Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
Absolutely delicious! I'm always trying new variations on rice, and this is a new favorite. I used plain white rice since that's all I had on hand, and cooked it in my rice cooker with a bit of a sesame seed/seaweed spice blend, with a bit of ground ginger. Also added a few raisins in with the onion-carrot mix (golden raisins would be better still). All else according to recipe - and it is so addictingly good!

Warm Chicken Ranch Wraps

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
Great, versatile recipe, I make it constantly in the summer. The picky boyfriend loves it, it is cheap and easy, and goes pretty far. I typically use less chicken, and cook it in hot sauce or different spices. I usually add cheese to the wrap, and sometimes warm raisins for myself. Green onion is also a great add-in.

Cucumber Raita

Ideal basic raita recipe! I've made others, and using Greek yogurt really is key. This is surprisingly delicious, the fresh mint really goes a long way.

Thai Rice Salad with Three Herbs

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
Little heavy on the lime, and I found myself making extra dressing to mix in - but a very unique flavor, and very good.

Bleu Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2006
Careful! This is EXTREMELY strong macaroni! My bf adores bleu cheese, but this was too much even for him. Somewhere between the blue cheese and the pepper made a really strong taste, that neither of us could eat more than a cup or so of. Definitely something to be served in small doses - very good, just very overpowering.

Yogurt Samosas

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
A little time-consuming but fairly simple to make, even for my first time frying something! Only needed half the dough, ran out of filling. Great combination of flavours in these.
