Pate Sucree

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
This classic French recipe needs an extra cup of flour to work. I took the photo pictured and had to add an extra cup of flour to make it workable. I checked several similar recipes and all used 2 cups of flour. Also, patting the dough in the pie plate works much better than trying to roll it out.

Roomali Roti

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
This is my # 1 favorite recipe from this site! I have made this many, many times for my 3 year old. He says, "Make some rollie, please, Momma." Thanks for posting this great, easy, and wonderful tasting recipe! (Reminds me of a tortilla, we eat it with butter).

Unleavened Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
6-21-11 I love you, Amy. You will be missed. You were one of my dearest, oldest friends. You were so sweet and thought of others first and then yourself. Please be at peace. (((((This is a great cornbread recipe when you find yourself out of baking powder! I have made this several times, and we really like this recipe! Thanks Amy and Katie for posting! ~~~Dana~~~(;))))))

California Chicken Spaghetti

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
A favorite from this site. I have been making this for about 3 years. It does give me heartburn! Husband is not too crazy about tomatoes so I usually leave those out.

Classy Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
One of my favorite recipes from this site! Always a winner and I make this for Thnksgvng. I do reduce the sour cream a bit & use the whole can of cr. of mushroom. Also add a can of corn to this. I LIKE canned Campbell's soups (they are comfort food to me) so I really, really enjoy this recipe. I can understand, though, if you don't like canned soups/sour cream combinations you probably wouldn't like this recipe. (: All to taste, and here's to comfort food!

Sour Cream Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
Don't be put off by the lack of liquid in this recipe! These waffles are great! A family favorite that I have added to our family cookbook. My 7yo requests these often.

Upside Down Turkey

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
This is the way I make a turkey! Such a simple technique, but the results are extroidinary! Try this, you won't be disappointed! I am so glad I found this recipe, it turned me, Turkey Maker Novice, into Turkey Maker Master (ok, maybe I won't be thanking you at Thanksgiving when this particular job is given to me, but my family will!)

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
I have made this recipe several times now. The last time I made it, I subbed sauteed mushrooms for the onions. I thought it was out of this world! My father-in-law likes the tradional onions, though, and I make it that way for him. I originally picked this recipe from all the other French Onion Soup recipes on this site because it called for sherry and not white wine.

Triple Threat Fruit Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2006
This is a a favorite of ours, though it is a little 'seedy'. I have tried different variations of this, leaving out the kiwi or strawberries. We like this alot, and it is our favorite fruit smoothie combination from this site. I love all of the Vit. C in this.

Nice, basic white bread. A great way to use up some milk.

Cadillac Pimento Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2006
This is my mom's recipe, and my sister submitted this, so I have to leave my comments about what I do differently...I usually sub sour cream for the cream cheese, its easier to stir. I also let this mellow in the frig a bit before serving. I love the kick the cayenne pepper gives this! Thanks, Mom! Love you!

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2006
I like the idea of this recipe, and the rolls looked beautiful, but they weren't done in the middle. I am not sure what I did wrong, and would be willing to try this recipe again. I love the fact that they have oatmeal in them.

Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2006
If you like shortbread, give these a try! They are not the traditional choc. chip cookie, and my husband didn't like them as much. I thought they were good, and easy to make. I will probably add them to my cookie trays at Christmas.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2006
I love this recipe! My 7yo loves these, too! They are easy and fast to make, and delicious! I made crepes in a home ec class in high school and had not attempted them since (and am not going to date myself here, but it was awhile ago). I can't believe I waited so long to try this again! Excellent breakfast/brunch, have made many times since first trying these! PS I use the cream cheese mixure from the Cheese Blitzes on this site in these.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

We did not like this one. Too much sugar! I guess we just don't like sugary meat. Reading the reviews, this seems to be a recipe people really, really liked, or they absolutely hated it.
