Chef John's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
This was definitely the best topping i've ever had! I liked the flavour of the sauce but will make changes next time. First i'll used less macaroni next time as I like it creamy and it wasn't. And I'll probably leave out the thyme next time. It was a bit overpowering and just didn't seem like the right taste to me. Otherwise it was great!

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
I just did this for dinner tonight and its amazing! I used a tip eye roast instead and I did it on high for 6 hours and it was falling apart and super juicy! I will never search for another roast recipe again! We plan on doing open faced beef and gravy sandwhiches with the leftovers (if there are any).

Buttery Corn Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
this is my first time making cornbread and this was delicious! super easy. I made it in muffin tins so it was easier for the kids to eat and less work for me. I only had to bake it for 10 minutes and it was perfect.

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
this was exceptional!! After being married for 8 years this was my first year cooking the whole christmas dinner and I was eager to succeed! This was super easy and tasted like stove top instand stuffing but better! I followed other reviewers tips and added less water but otherwise I didn't change anything. the flavor was wonderful!!!

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
this is fabulous!!! I made mine in a mini muffin tin with paper liners. The papers didn't come off very well when the cakes were even slightly warm but the next day them came off super easy. They tasted just like one bite brownies!! It was super easy too!! I'll be making thing for years to come!!!

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
i used to use a biscuit recipe that required cutting in hard butter. I almost never made buscuits because it took so long. I love how easy this recipe is and it tastes great! i leave out the cream of tarter because its not something i keep in my pantry and they are still great!

Slow-Cooked Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This is great! Its so easy! the only changes i make are that I add more hasbrowns and i use the small cubed ones intstead of shredded; I use canned corn instead of frozen, and near the end of cooking i mix some flour and water and then add it to the soup to thicken it up. Its great! my family eats it up!

Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2006
I love this recipe! I'm not a good cookie baker and i've never made oatmeal raisin cookies but these turned out wonderfully! I used brown sugar instead of white and margerine instead of shortning. I also added an extra 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp nutmeg as suggested by other reviews. They are so soft which is such a nice change from hard cookies! thanks so much!
