Baked Beans, Texas Ranger

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
I have made this several times now for family gatherings and pot lucks and everyone raves about it. The only thing I change is using Hot Italian Sausage to add more zing. This is a must try recipe.

Spicy Oven Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
This was really good, we're trying to cut back on fat in our diet and this hits the spot. Very good, crispy not soggy. Easy to make as well.

Mashed Potatoes with Fried Mushroom, Bacon, and Onion

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
A hit! These were great, made them for the kids and grandkids and there were no leftovers. I always make homemade mashed potatoes but these were awesome, like baked without all the extra work. Will definitely make again.

Bacon Cheddar Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
What a hit! I made these last weekend for a poker party and they were awesome. Some thought they may be too hot but they weren't at all. The only changes I made from reading other reviews was to mix cream cheese with shredded colby jack and I used pre-cooked bacon and broiled for 3 minutes. These were excellent fresh out of the oven and still good an hour later. Everyone enjoyed them and two people asked for the recipe. Very easy to make and no clean up afterwards (use aluminum foil on baking sheet). Next time I think I'll add some of the seeds to the cheese mixture to make a bit spicier. Thanks so much, I'm making them again this weekend for Super Bowl party.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
Tasty Stuffing, made this three times so far and everyone loved it. Fresh cranberries made it extra special, have made it with dried and fresh and both are good but fresh has much better taste. Thanks

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
Excellent turkey soup. Made with carcass from Christmas dinner and simmered for 3 hours, meat fell off bones easily. Used canned whole green chilis and just gave a chop (bigger chunks) , added Ro-tel tomatoes, cumin and chopped cilantro. I did not use the flour or the half-and-half as didn't want creamy soup but did add torn up flour tortillas the last 20 minutes cooking for texture. This is the third day we're eating it and it's better each day. Will always make this recipe for turkey soup in the future. Very tasty, you can make to suit your tastes very easily.

Southwestern Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
This was absolutely the BEST! I made this last night using leftover turkey from Christmas and made enough to serve 8, just my hubby and I and my hubby had 3 helpings which he never, never does. He took some to his carpool buddy and he loved it for lunch today. Used the Ro-tel tomatoes, and cumin as other reviews stated. Excellent, will definitely make again! Thanks

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Made this for dinner last night, very easy to prepare. Beware if you use larger hen then cook time will be longer. Like many reviews I read the meat is tender and juicy however it appears to be lacking something in flavor. I did put the celery, 4 cloves garlic and 1/2 onion inside cavity but still not quite to my taste. Will definitely make again but maybe add some cajun spice for more flavor.

Chicken Tortilla Bake

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
I made this making only a couple of changes, I used whole green chilies and diced them. Much tastier and substantial. I also used flour tortillas as we prefer them. My husband absolutely loved this, he even went back for seconds and asked for the leftovers the next day. He never eats leftovers. Thanks for an easy wonderful recipe.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
Winner! This was the hit at our poker party, I cooked all day long for 20 people and this was the biggest hit of all dishes. They were asking for more. I cut bacon in half length wise then cut in 4 equal pieces, 1 lb bacon was enough for 2 pkgs smokies. This is a keeper!!!!

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
Unbelievable! This chili was the best I have ever eaten, so much better than my old stand by recipe. This is the only chili I will ever make again, was a bit spicy but even the grandkids loved it. Caught my hubby up in middle of the night eating more...A must try, exellent recipe...didn't change a thing.

Pork Chop Pileups

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2006
Made this for dinner last night, was simple and easy to make. Had to cook an extra 45 minutes and end results was just ok. I think the recipe needs some more pizzaz, will make again but doctor it up some.
