This recipe was very good. The only thing that I changed was the amount of water I used. I used 1/2 of the amount specified in the recipe.

Hearty Mince

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
We really enjoyed this recipe. I used V-8 juice instead of reg. tomato juice and I used garlic powder and salt instead of celery salt. Definately will put this on my regular recipe rotation!

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2006
This is a very versatile recipe that could be used as a cassarole, dip or filling. I did use 1/2 package of taco seasoning instead of the chili powder and that worked out well. It wasn't the best recipe that I've tried but it wasn't the worst either.

Korean BBQ Beef (Pul-Kogi)

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
Wow, the flavor of this recipe is fantastic! I did not have seseme seeds so I left those out and I used rice vinegar instead of rice wine. I served this recipe with jasmine rice and my family loved it! Great recipe, thanks!

Nell's Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
Wow, this recipe had such a great flavor. I used 2 tbsp of sugar instead of three and I used the oriental flavored noodles and seasoning pack. I will definately make this often.

Apple Spice Dump Cake

Reviewed: May 19, 2007
This was excellent and took 5 min to prepare!I used a yellow cake mix, added cinnamon to the dry cake mix and worked in 1 stick of softened butter until it formed crumbs. I also added cinnamon to the apple pie filling. I put the cake mix/butter mixture on top of the apples and gently pressed down. It came out excellent! Thanks for the recipe.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
With a few small adjustments, this made a fantastic smoothie. I used 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/8 cup chocolate milk, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp spenda, 1 banana, and about 8 ice cubes. Put everything in my smoothie maker, and it came out great! Thanks for the recipe.

Cheesecake Cookie Cups

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
I made these this past weekend for a Christmas party and they were a hit! I baked the cookie for 12 min, and it was a litte over done so next time I'll go with the 10 min. time frame. The cheesecakes did not drop in the center like many other recipes. They were nearly perfect and even better topped with cherries or chocolate and caramel sauce!

No Bake Sugar Free Cheese Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
Like others suggested, I used the sugarfree cheesecake pudding mix, and the smaller jello (.33 I think), and 2 cups of milk. It turned out pretty well, but to me it's more like a parfait than a cheesecake.

Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
I thought that this recipe was excellent! I made a few minor adjustments which was I used onion powder instead of onions, and a jar of hormel real bacon pieces not the fake bacon bits! I also mixed in some chives and topped with extra cheese and chivies. Excellent recipe, thanks!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
This was a really good Mexican rice recipe. I was really short on time so I did make a few adjustments. I used the Success family size boil in the bag rice and boiled the rice in a mixture of water, chicken broth tomato sauce and the spices listed in the recipe. After I took the rice bag out of the liquid, I added a little more tomato sauce and salt directly to the rice. It was really great, and ready in about 10 minutes!

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
This recipe was very tasty with a few minor changes. I used cavenders seasoning and browned bone-in chops first. I also used about 1/2 cup of ketchup and only 1/4 cup of soy sauce, and added 1 capful of cider vinegar and about 1/4 cup of splenda brown sugar blend instead of regular brown sugar. Very good. I will definately make this again.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
This Irish Soda bread was delicous and very easy to make. Like others, I used my Kitchen Aid Mixer with the bread attachment on, so I did not have to hand knead. I did not have buttermilk or regular milk so I used evaporated milk and 1/2 the sugar and it turned out fantastic. Next time I think I wil add some raisons.

These biscuits came out fantastic! The only change I made was I used butter instead of shortening. These were the lightest, tallest biscuits that I've ever made! Thanks for the recipe.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
I agree with everyone else that this makes 12 muffins. I also had to add more milk than the recipe called for, and instead of the crumble topping, I used 4 crushed up crunchy cinnamon granola bars. They turned out great with these few minor adjustments.

Slovak Stuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
This is a great recipe with a few adjustments. I used 2 cans of tom.soup and one 16 oz can of tom. sauce and no water. I omitted the sauerkraut but added 1 tablespoon of cidar vinegar to balance out the 1 tablespoon of sugar. I used both beef and pork because I think it gives it more flavor and I added onion powder and hungarian paprika. These were very tasty although the cabbage could have been a bit more cooked, so next time I will increase the time to 1 hr 40 min. I also covered the dish for the first hour then uncovered it for the last 1/2 hour. Thanks for the recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
These cookies came out fantastic. The only changes that I made was to add a pinch of cinnamon, use 3/4 cup white sugar and 1 1/4 cups brown and cashew nuts instead of walnuts. Make sure your dough does not start to get too warm. If it does, put it in the frig. for a few minutes and do not handle dough. Great recipe!
