Pork Loin and Cabbage

This was excellent. I made it exactly as written. The pork was tender and flavourful and the cabbage was yummy. So quick and easy. This is definitely a keeper!

Meatball Orzo Soup

Friends and family love this soup. Quick, easy and delicious. I do it exactly as written except that I make my own meatballs. It's always a hit!

My family really enjoyed these cookies. I made the recipe exactly but left out the walnuts. I baked them to take to a Bible Study and was concerned about nut allergies. Next time, I will add the walnuts. I think it needs the crunch.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

This was great . . . not runny at all. I followed the recipe exactly except that I added red dye to turn it pink and used it to make a princess cake for my daughter. Everyone loved it!

Banana Cheesecake with Caramel Sauce

Terrific cheesecake. Everyone loved it. The only thing I would maybe do differently is decrease the sugar a bit. It was a bit too sweet for me, but had terrific banana flavour.

Moist Date Nut Bread

This is a great recipe! I've made it at least five times now and always receive rave reviews. I usually omit the walnuts and replace with apricots so the baby can eat it. This recipe is also really good if you substitute the dates for prunes and apricots.

Dumplings

Blueberry Buckle

Excellent recipe! The whole family enjoyed it. I doubled the recipe cutting down on the flour as suggested by others. I added vanilla to the cake and topping, used margarine in the cake insead of shortening and used brown sugar in the cake and topping. It made too much topping for our taste so we saved the rest for the next batch. This one is definitely a keeper!
