Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
Wonderful cookies!!! I made exactly as directed, though I accidently didn't use the quick cooking oats. I added 1/2 cup golden raisins and 1/2 cup dried cranberries (the kids' favorites). I let them chill overnight and baked them this morning. They are delicious!!! Thanks for a great recipe!!

Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
This was truly an excellent dish! I made it exactly as written, only substituting red peppers for green; it's what I had on hand. It has a wonderful flavor. I served it over white rice. Even my picky toddler ate it!! Thank you for a great recipe!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Really excellent dish! Definitely a keeper. I adjusted as per other reviews: 3 eggs instead of 4, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar. I used 1/4 cup golden raisins and 1/4 dried cranberries simply because my children love them. Last modification was that I used oatty nut bread rather than white (hey, a little fiber couldn't hurt) simply because it was all I had on hand, even though my husband made fun of me for that substitution. I served it with the vanilla sauce found on this site and everyone LOVED it. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
This cheese ball has wonderful flavor. I did, however, make the error of buying ranch "dip" mix, and it was a bit salty as a result. Was a big hit at the thanksgiving party nonetheless. Will buy the correct mix next time. Thanks for the recipe!!

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
This is a great dish! I'm trying to lose weight (only 12 more lbs to go!!); accordingly, I used ground turkey and reduced fat soup. The result is that I was able to reduce the total calorie count down to 3125 and 99 grams of fat for the whole pan. (Only 260 cals and 8 grams of fat for a piece that's 1/12 th of the pan!!) The whole family thought it tasted wonderful, even with the lower fat modifications. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!!

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Made this one for dinner tonight, served over angel hair pasta - it was wonderfully simple. I used just a bit less balsamic vinegar (1/3rd cup), and it had wonderful flavor!!! Thanks for the great recipe!
